The Queue: naptime?
It’s funny. It seems like almost nothing makes me more tired than having a few days where I’m forced to essentially do nothing. Not sure if my body just really likes doing nothing, or if it just kinda… gives in, and tries to catch up, but man, I’m feeling it today.
This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us the questions and we’ll… get around to answering at some point, after we lie down for just a second.
Q4tQ: Would you rather have to spend a night in an igloo, or travel 100 miles by dog sled?
Igloo, absolutely. While the base is cold, the interiors are actually not too bad. They’re insulated, shielded from the wind, and designed to trap as much body heat as possible, while the floor also has dips, to provide a spot for the cold to sink.
Going 100 miles by dog sled is just as cold, if not colder because of the wind, and 100 miles is several days worth of that so you’re sleeping in something even colder than an igloo anyway. Bleh.
Q4TQ: Does the new player housing have secret doors, passage ways, or rooms?
As far as I know, there’s one bookshelf which is also a sliding door which could work, here. Though I’d guess that there’s probably some way to use curtains or something to section off a larger room to make a secret hideaway, but I haven’t looked into it too closely.
Q4tQ are you looking forward to the prepatch questing/content going live this week?
On the one hand, yes. I’m excited to see the next chapter of the story, and I adore Blood Elves in general so Midnight is going to be right up my alley.
On the other hand, life is relentless and continual! I’ve barely even started decorating my house in-game, and all that came out a month ago. In my defense, collecting all the various pieces to decorate is tedious. Plus, I have a ton going on IRL. Hell, I still have the bins full of Christmas stuff in my office waiting to get carried downstairs. I do not need more to do, even if it seems neat and fun!
Q4tQ: Are you getting lots of fun snowy activities in with the big snowfall, or is it more of a dire hunker down and wait for warmth kinda situation?
We got a lot of ice, no snow. It was fun, because we could carefully peel the ice off the leaves on the bushes to see “ghost leaves,” and some flat surfaces made for huge ice sheets that we got to shatter. This was somewhat less fun when I went to do normal stuff, like take out the garbage, but the top was sealed shut (but that got chucked on the ground, and was very fun to watch shatter). It was also kind of wild, because even the grass was very slippery.
And then I looked at the weather, and apparently we may have another shot at snow this weekend! So, that’s. that’s fun.
