Labyrinths will be added in patch 12.1.5 as a new variation of Delves that are larger in size, “like mega-dungeons”

One of the most exciting pieces of news arriving in today’s 2026 State of Azeroth content update for World of Warcraft was Labyrinths, a new, bigger format for Delves. The content update revealed a roadmap for the Midnight expansion, and it includes the release of this brand-new feature, which is coming in patch 12.1.5.

Labyrinths were described by WoW Game Director Ion Hazzikostas as being like a larger version of Delves, “inspired by mega-dungeons” — which are sprawling dungeons with multiple wings — and with “a different form and reward structure” than what we’re used to seeing in Delves. While details are still sparse, Ion assured us that we’ll be able to tackle Labyrinths either “all at once” or “a little bit at a time.”

Ion mentioned that the developers have seen how passionate the community has been about Delves, and that their goal with Labyrinths is to “support even more flexibility and experimentation” for this game mode. As someone who saw WoW endgame be absolutely revitalized for myself through Delves — acting as a real third pillar for players who want to do things at a more casual pace but still feel like they’re progressing their gear and skill into a true endgame — I couldn’t be more excited about more support for this game mode.

The idea of larger Delves makes me think of iconic locations like Dire Maul or Blackrock Depths: enormous living and breathing places that you can lose yourself in, whether it’s solo (and taking your time) or with a small group. With multiple wings, many events and minibosses, and the freedom to choose where and how to tackle it all. It definitely sounds like a dream feature for me. Patch 12.1.5 couldn’t arrive here soon enough!
