Today’s World of Warcraft maintenance will keep most realms offline into the afternoon — All realms coming back online!
It’s Tuesday morning, and that means it’s time for World of Warcraft maintenance. Today we have a few hours of downtime for most realms, but only the soon-to-be Burning Crusade Anniversary realms have the standard hour-long maintenance this morning: all other realms are scheduled to be offline for four hours.
Here’s the WoW maintenance schedule for Tuesday, February 3:
- The War Within: Offline from 7am – 11am pacific (10am – 2pm eastern)
- Mists of Pandaria Classic: Offline from 7am – 11am pacific (10am – 2pm eastern)
- WoW Classic (including Classic Era, Season of Discovery, and Hardcore realms): Offline from 7am – 11am pacific (10am – 2pm eastern)
- The Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary realms: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary servers came up right on time. The War Within servers just came up, around 45 minutes before listed end time. Classic era servers are also coming up now, but a bit more slowly.
The only big event this week is the launch of The Burning Crusade Classic on Anniversary realms, which goes live on Thursday, February 5, at 3pm pacific (6pm eastern). But nothing in particular is scheduled for Midnight, Mists, or Classic that would explain extra maintenance. Certainly the Midnight pre-patch has had its bugs, but nothing dire.
However, these longer maintenances are often a mystery. We’ll see if there are any interesting hotfix notes when the servers come back online in a few hours, but it’s just as likely something behind the scenes. Time will tell.
In the meanwhile, this could be a good time to catch up on the World of Warcraft roadmaps that came out last week for modern, Mists Classic, and Classic Anniversary realms. It’s going to be a busy year… probably with a lot more maintenance along the way. But for now I’ll keep you updated right here on the current WoW server status, and let you know when the servers come back online.
Hopefully I’ll see you in Azeroth soon.
