The Queue: The Reno gun show

Last week, somebody said that the way I abbreviated renovation to reno made them think of a different event entirely. So here are two tickets to the Reno gun show, just for you, half-remembered and definitely real commentator.

While I decide if I’m going to return to this joke for a third time next week, it’s time for our daily question and answer column — The Queue!

I HAD A BAD HABIT OF MISSING ARTHONOS’ PAST

Q4tQ: Any good Superb owl commercials this year?

This was the one I liked.

The Ben Affleck Dunkin Donut commercial this year didn’t hit as well for me as some of the past years have. I dunno, has the gimmick run its course? Where was Matt Damon?! Maybe they’ll do a better one next year.

I THOUGHT MY HOUSE WAS HAUNTED I USED TO LIVE WITH RED

Q4TQ: What’s your favorite DLC of all time?

Mine is FF7R Intergrade for FF7 Remake.
I’ve heard great things about Burial at Sea for BioShock Infinite, but sadly it eluded me.

Burial at Sea. Ez, mic drop.

It really tied the whole series together. It also left me feeling numb and drained at the end, but in like a good way. An artistic way.

I’d have to say Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne also ranks up there pretty highly. All of the DLC from early Blizzard products was gold, even if it was more expansion pack than DLC at that point in our gaming lifecycle.

The first Borderlands also had some excellent DLC with the Zombie Island of Dr Ned and Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot. Are any of these better than Burial at Sea, no — but they’re really fun and expand on the game in new and exciting ways.

BUT MY ARTHONOS TOLD ME IT’S ALRIGHT

Q4tQ: What would you consider the best Western RPG of all time?

It’s gotta be Mass Effect. The choices you make matter across the game and then the trilogy, giving you different endings and playthroughs of key events based on that, cementing it as the best Western RPG in my mind. I know it didn’t have the strongest ending in the third one, but it was still really good all the way up until that point, and the Citadel DLC was an excellent pre-epilogue to the big finish. I’d rank Mass Effect higher than Dragon Age personally, but I could see an argument made for one over the other, especially since there’s been an extra Dragon Age game that was received better than Mass Effect Andromeda.

Which, to be clear, wasn’t a bad game; it just had some early rough bugs, which soured the public against it at the crucial onboarding time. It also didn’t get a proper follow-up because of that, so there are some threads that will never get addressed, sadly.

TAHJIS MAY [NOT A CULTIST] YOU WERE DANCING THROUGH THE LIGHTNING STRIKES SLEEPLESS IN THE ONYX NIGHT

2BE: Medivh (in his peak) vs Xal’atath

We’ll be able to find this out for sure in a few months once Blizzard announces the next slate of characters coming to Heroes of the Storm at BlizzCon! There’s no way that Xal’atath and Lilith don’t both get added to the game then.

Mark my words, it’ll happen! If it doesn’t happen, that just means they’re saving it for BlizzCon 2027 to be an even bigger announcement.

BUT NOW THE SKY IS KALCHEUS

Q4tQ Why are we getting 8hrs of maintenance in NA on Tuesday?

There was a really big windstorm, and all of the lawn flamingos in the neighborhoods were knocked over. It takes eight hours for all of the interns to go around and set them all back upright.

BLOSSOM BRINGER JæKSDæDI YOU COULDN’T UNDERSTAND IT WHY YOU FELT ALONE

Thanks to Jalamenos, I now aware that there are actual pitch keybindings for flying. My QftQ: Did you know about using INS or DEL to adjust the pitch while flying? And, the second part: What’s the actual utility? I have honestly never seen anybody on a flying mount use that option.

I certainly did, I’ve spent many hours flying my mounts upside down for no discernible reason. It’s also how you do loop the loops, and that’s a very important bit of sky acrobatics!

RED NEVER MET NO ONE LIKE YOU BEFORE YOU HAD TO MAKE YOUR OWN SUNSHINE

Q4TQ: would you the cat?

Obviously, I would the cat. I love cats. I also love absurdity, and nothing says absurdity like a cat with a jetpack.

Sometimes Bacardi likes to sit on the back of the couch; he’s going against the preconceived notions of how to use the couch because he’s his own cat and can’t be placed in a box by society. He’ll only go into the box when he feels like it, and on his terms. Make sure to give him a validating boop, and he’ll stock your great vaults with only the finest counter culture-approved items.

Would you rather?

Always go to the same restaurant and be able to order “the usual”

Or

Always eat at a new place?
