The Queue: Have a soul
So I’ve been looking at getting a new (used) car, and a lot of what shows up in my criteria has been the Kia Soul. Today, while my most favoritest person and I went to a local farmers’ market, we saw at least five different Souls parked there. I don’t know how closely overlapped the Venn diagram is between Kia Soul owners and Farmers’ Markets are but it’s gotta be overlapped pretty heavily.
I do appreciate that they all seem to be nice and colorful. Most cars I’ve seen are white, grey, or black. When did they all get so boring?!
While I lament the changing automotive trends, it’s time for our daily question and answer column — The Queue!
Q4tQ Is the Prey system active yet?
It is! You can go and put yourself out there like a juicy bit of bait to attract all sorts of big meanies to come and try to get you. I really like the concept for this and can’t wait to work up to Nightmare difficulty on it.
All that misery and they give me a ground mount.
A. Ground. Mount.
In the year of our Warcraft 21.
It’s always surprising now when the new ground mounts don’t have a flying animation! There are so many flying horses and panthers and such, so why can’t everything fly! I wanna see those big Goblin tanks flying through the sky and hovering outside of Silvermoon.
Q4tQ So when should we replace our Reshii Wraps?
I think that halfway is usually about when you’ll find gear on par with the big fancy legendary doo-dad from the previous expansion. Sometimes I’ll hang onto things like that longer just because I’m loath to give up the last thing I spent so long raiding for. Of course, if you’ve hit 90 and you’re still wearing them, it’s time to hang them from the rafters in your house like a retired jersey in a sports arena and get yourself a proper Midnight cloak.
Q4tQ: Have you died yet in Midnight? If so, what caused your demise?
I am invincible!
I made ramen.
I’ve never had ramen, and I’ve certainly never made it.
Don’t even recognize half of these ingredients but I just sat here earlier today and thought “I should make ramen”
I’ve never made my own ramen from scratch. I don’t even really get more experimental with the cheap instant ramen than adding a chopped spring onion and cracking an egg into the water while I put it in the microwave.
I hope you enjoyed your first time making it. Did it awaken something in you? Are you going to become Jalamenos, the master ramen chef of the Queue?
Q4TQ: My question is from the Queue’s headline today, “Would you play WoW 2 if it looked like this?” My question is what would you envision WoW 2 as being? Is it better graphics, better game play, a bigger world, or something else? For me it would be slower questing, more chill activities, and not feeling like I always have to rush, rush, rush in everything I need to do before the moment is lost forever.
World of Warcraft 2!
I’ve never known anything to be more of a fevered dream of a madman than the concept of World of Warcraft 2. But let’s say that all of the various problems that come with slapping a two onto the back of what is probably the most successful MMO ever are handled. Everybody playing gets to keep all of their stuff; it all ports forward. The upgrade to 2 is handled gracefully and doesn’t see a big split in the retail player base. Somehow, you can still visit every location from before and occasionally even have good reasons to go back there. With all of those handled, as well as a bunch of other issues that I can’t even think of right now, what do I hope 2 looks like?
I want it to be like the original Overwatch pitch — A large seamless world that’s split into the crafting and commerce side with fully realized cities and towns. Then you go out and explore the massive world around you, playing closer to the current Warcraft. Now, when I say fully realized cityscapes, I want a place that can be grown and improved by having more players living in it. I want the random village you get most of your quests from in the new zone to be expandable up to a massive hub, or maybe everybody really does want to live in Silvermoon forever, and it’s shinier because of it.
I also want it to be so engaging in both worlds that you can have a productive and fun play session just in crafting, home decorating, and auction housing. Maybe your character never even leaves Orgrimmar and just spends their time as an Orcish seamstress, cornering the level 35 cloak market.
For leveling on the combat and exploration side of things, I want a less locked-in approach to classes. Let’s get some multi-class things happening and have Void Demon Hunters with a few ranks in Shadow Priest for extra void goodness! It’d be a nightmare to balance, but that’s why they’re paid the big bucks.
Really use the sequel concept to expand what World of Warcraft could be.
Q4tQ: Which of the new starter Pokemon do you like the best?
C’mon, it’s the fire puppy, obviously.
Sometimes Pokemon starters are a matter of careful consideration and pro/con lists. But this time? Grass bird is cute, water lizard is fine — Neither can hold a candle to fire puppy.

Here’s Bacardi just waiting patiently for Midnight to begin in earnest so he can start stocking vaults with all of your favorite loot. Until then, maybe he’ll help you get the rare drop mounts you want. If he was properly motivated, that is.
