The Queue: Back again

Hey, guess what!

Chicken butt.

Guess what else, I’m back again. Like Kael’thas, you just can’t get rid of me. You thought you’d had your fill of me on Monday, but jokes on you — I’m helping cover Liz’s Queue this week, and you’re stuck with me again.

While I try to remember what day of the week it is, it’s time for our daily question and answer column — The Queue!

GUESS WHO’S BACK, BACK AGAIN? MUSEDMOOSE’S BACK, TELL A FRIEND

Late Q4theLizQueue: how do you feel about the upcoming Diablo IV season being much shorter than usual? I know it’s because of the upcoming expansion, and I don’t mind because I don’t really play for the whole season. It just feels odd, though I’m looking forward to checking out some of the new mechanics.

I also play Diablo and have opinions about it!

Making them shorter seems like the right idea. I didn’t even push into the final Torment tier this time before getting distracted and playing other stuff. They’re just too same-y to hold my attention for long. Shorter means that I might play more to see what’s happening. It just means that they’d have to be cranking them out faster, and that hasn’t worked in the past when they’ve tried to hit faster releases. Maybe they should do shorter seasons and work in a repeat season once a year. That way, the people who weren’t playing during those seasons could see the story they’ve missed.

Mainly, I’m hoping that having two new classes in Lord of Hatred will revitalize things for me. Paladin and Warlock both look really cool, and the upcoming quality of life changes have me optimistic for more demon destruction.

I’VE CREATED A MONSTER ‘CAUSE NOBODY WANTS TO SEE KALCHEUS NO MORE

Q4tQ Anyone else getting powerful “we’re going to have to put this dude down” vibes from the Prey NPC?

No way, they’d never betray us! They’re our new best friend, and surely they aren’t going to want to eventually hunt the most dangerous game (us) to feel something. A sudden betrayal may feel inevitable, but if that was the case, why would they be giving us so many nice gifts?

NOW, THIS LOOKS LIKE A JOB FOR TELWAR SO, EVERYBODY, JUST FOLLOW TELWAR

Used my air fryer for the first time today.

Huh. I could easily get used to this.

It’s annoying how well they work. I didn’t want them to be that good since everyone was talking them up so much, but here we are!

‘CAUSE WE NEED A LITTLE CONTROVERSY ‘CAUSE IT FEELS SO EMPTY WITHOUT RED

what would EVIL BAN-LU say?

Build a man a fire, and he’s warm for a day; set a man on fire, and he’s warm for the rest of his life.

The journey of a thousand steps feels pretty long. Wouldn’t you rather stay at home and never go anywhere?

A face tattoo would look really good on you.

Don’t pay your taxes and don’t tip your waiter!

It’s probably ok to eat that food that expired, you’ll most likely be fine!

If you’re in an argument with someone, tell them to calm down; that way, you can have a more productive discussion.

LITTLE HELLIONS, KIDS FEELIN’ REBELLIOUS EMBARRASSED, THEIR PARENTS STILL LISTEN TO RJAGODA

Yeah I have a lot of questions. First of all, how dare you?

Second, Wow is up to patch 12 and tier 73 (I actually couldn’t find a number for tier). Which one do you have the fondest memories of?

I thought I was being nice and helping out! Don’t be mad at me rjagoda! I’m just a lil guy!

Favorite tier ever? It’s a toss-up between Siege of Orgrimmar and Throne of Thunder. Mists of Pandaria was definitely my high pointWarcraft-wise. My guild was firing on all cylinders and having a blast raiding together. We got the Realm First! Ra-den and managed to clear Siege Mythic for some cool mechanical scorpions. Sure, those achievements might not have been gotten while they were at their hardest. We might’ve gone back in Siege gear to finish Ra-den off, and Mythic Garrosh happened after the Warlords of Draenor pre-patch when he was a little bit easier — but still! Nobody else got Ra-den before us!

Siege of Orgrimmar had some good fights, and could’ve been a less sprawling raid overall, but I did enjoy it. Throne of Thunder ranks up there with Ulduar in my eyes for purely awesome raid design. Lei-Shen was such a fun fight to learn and execute. That was while I was playing Enhance Shaman, so not only did I get to do the fight from melee, but I got to do it while having a like seven cooldowns to push before I could even start my rotation.

Dragon Soul gets an honorable mention for being the formation of my guild and getting Heroic Deathwing in the last week that the mount was guaranteed. The next day, we all boarded the ships to Pandaria. I’d also give Nighthold and The Emerald Nightmare a vote for being the first raids I was the main tank in. It did hurt to have to fight Ursoc, though.

RIP.

Bacardi isn’t sure what he’s doing here. He was having a nice nap on an Xbox controller, as one does, and all of a sudden, he’s got a camera in his face. These are the sad realities of stardom. At least the cat treats make it all worthwhile.

Would you rather?

Have a work day full of steady work

Or

Have a day where nothing much is happening, until the last two hours of your shift — and then you’re really busy

Today’s Anna Liz Earworm™: Without Me (NSFW lyrics)

I hope you’ve all been having a wonderful week, as I specifically requested on Monday. Make sure to leave Liz (or Matt if their computer troubles get solved) lots of questions for tomorrow!
