The Queue: Sunny days

The days out there are getting sunnier. Unfortunately, I don’t have a good set of prescription sunglasses, so I’m left squinting at things a lot of the time. It’s going to be a long summer. Maybe this will be the year that I finally get a pair. They’ve always seemed like a huge luxury, which I why I don’t have a pair already. Also, what if I’m bad at hanging onto sunglasses? I’ve heard lots of stories of people losing every pair of sunglasses they own.

While I try to find a new hat to wear all the time, it’s time for our daily question and answer column — The Queue!

I’ve only ever made changes like that twice. Once to get my Paladin over to the Horde, where all the cool kids hang out, and once to turn my Tauren Druid into a Zandalari Druid. For dinosaurs, obviously. Both times it was a tough call because I’ve always made the character to be that thing. If I needed another version of that class or to play a different spec, I’d make a new one. Like, there’s no chance my Vulpera Mage Firefox is ever going to be anything other than Fire. That’s why he was made!

But if you absolutely have to do it, I guess having a plan in place so that the next time the sales roll around, you can be ready to go — isn’t the worst idea in the world. As long as you can wait that long. Who knows when the next sale will be!

Midnight Falls had a secret phase!

Not only a secret phase, but a properly secret secret phase that surprised everyone involved. That alone makes it the best RWF in recent memory. Before that, though, the March on Quel’danas portion of the raid has been excellent. Let’s not talk too much about the first week of the RWF, though. Voidspire wound up being too easy, and I was ready to write the whole race off.

But now! 446 pulls and counting on Midnight Falls, Liquid is staying up late to try and kill it before Echo wakes up. Even before the secret phase, they were within a few pulls of each other and within 2% of getting a kill (or so they thought). So the final boss in this raid has solidified itself as a top-three boss of all time for dramatic tension.

It’s gonna be lonely, but it’ll probably get over it. Sometimes you just gotta give it a break and let it hang out at a nice cabin in the woods taking in the fresh air.

Demon Hunters would be so sad that they’re not the only ones with an easy hover now. It would be funny that the Warriors keep asking for Bloodlust since they could yell loudly and encouragingly, and it would make sense to give another class the lust, and they wound up with a hover. It even works for tanks who don’t use a big two-handed weapon; they could just hold their shield up above their heads like a Lost Viking! Then there’d be Blizzard gaming precedent, and it must be easy to make it a sure thing.

It’s been an extremely weird winter here, too. December was snowy and cold, and then since then we’ve had unseasonably warm weather, and then snow, and then warm, and snow and warm and snow and warm and snow. I have a coworker at my day job who has just moved to Canada from Uganda — and after the first thaw in January, he asked if that was it, and it was over. We laughed and laughed.

I’ve still got more snow coming my way, it seems like, and sure, the stuff we’ve got has been melting, but it seems like Mother Nature is just gonna keep throwing it at us until we learn our lesson.

Always! There could be something fancy in there.

Sure, 99% of the time it’s just vendor trash, but what if there’s a rare material? Can you take the chance that you missed out on something like that? I know I couldn’t live with that on my conscience.

Today’s Bacardi has been busy investigating the remains of my dinner. He’s confused why the good-smelling food wasn’t for him. Nobody tell him, and maybe your vaults will be better.
