The Queue: Second of May
Nothing in particular happens today. Oh, right. The patch.
This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and we toe the line as close as humanly possible while we answer.
The Queue: Sprung
I can be a little strange living in a place where your climate is just a tad ahead of everyone else’s. I’m starting to see posts from friends and family in Upstate New York talking about how it’s almost spring and they’re so excited, lots of discussion about the upcoming Rochester Lilac Festival, marking the true beginning of spring. Meanwhile, I’m over here already breaking out the shorts, booking summer camps, and battling mosquitos.
On the flip side, it does make me feel oddly on the ball and prepared. Maybe I should try to schedule things a few months in advance more often.

What’s your daily gaming routine?
The Queue: Queue-cheus
Sometimes we Queue writers get accused of favoritism because we answer questions from specific people. In this case, it’s simply because nobody else really had questions today. That’s totally fine, but it can kinda put us in a slightly weird spot. However, since it gives me a chance to reuse this adorable header photo, I’m okay with it.
This is The Queue, where you ask us questions, hopefully, because if not this is what you get.

The Queue: Senioritis
After Spring Break I can’t seem to get anything done. Part of it is definitely the end-of-the-school-year festivities — picnics, field days, appreciation days, and all that are really starting to crunch in here. But another part is that feeling from long ago, that at this point all this stuff just doesn’t really matter, and I don’t wanna, and more importantly, you can’t make me. Also, I kinda can’t make me.
This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and we’ll probably answer if we feel like it, maybe.
The Queue: Beats
I’m pretty excited about Festival of Legends at this point, but it’s less because of the actual gameplay stuff, and more because of all the music deep dives I’ve been doing over the past few weeks. From cowbell soloists, to going down swinging, to bouncing around, to a symphony of sins, I’m loving it. Pretty sure nobody else in the house is, but I’m pretty used to that.
This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and we make a mixtape out of them, apparently. Some links may be mildly NSFW.

You know what gaming needs? More whodunnits. While a whole lot of games ask you to find out who did the bad thing, or their motive for having done the bad thing, it’s usually secondary unless the reveal is truly shocking and splashy — see Bioshock. Usually, when we do get whodunnit games, they’re less thrilling detective work, and more disorienting eldritch horror — see Resident Evil. But straightforward murders, even straightforward serial murders, don’t tend to happen in games. But it’s such a big genre in all other media, I’m not sure why it hasn’t really caught on. Maybe because it’s less replayable?
This is The Queue, where we’ll ask the questions — what are you doing with that knife?
The Queue: Last Frost Date
This is a joke, right? We had days in February where I was considering putting the electric blankets and thick coats into storage for the year, and now that I’m at my last frost date, it’s literally freezing outside? I could not be more over it.
This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and we’ll make a cup of hot cocoa before we answer because our fingers are too cold to type yet.
The Queue: It’s cold and I’m grumpy.

This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and between this and daylight savings time we are just OVER IT.
