In getting ready for the holidays, I have decided that becoming a mountaintop hermit is my best options. Tell your friends. Wait, actually — don’t.

One of my favorite things about The Queue is how completely random y’all can get sometimes.

I’ve been playing a lot of the Mystery Heroes mode of Overwatch 2 lately to unwind, and man has it made for a whole lot of wackiness. There is no other explanation.

This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us questions and we are somehow supposed to come up with a clutch answer, we guess.

When a new studio of Blizzard alums pops up we take notice, especially when they do so with an upcoming MMORPG embodying the lofty ideals set forth by Fantastic Pixel Castle, the now-named studio founded by former Lead Systems Designer of World of Warcraft Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street.

There is a point every BlizzCon where my brain has devolved into a useless mass of half-wrinkled goo. At that point, everything seems funny, everything is enraging, everything seems like simultaneously a good and bad idea. Brings me back to college, really.

It was at this time when I encountered this photo of a single tiny cactus in the Hearthstone area from our Away Team member Joe Collins. I don’t know why this cactus is such a vibe — so lonely, so precious, so special, so charming — but it is the best thing to come out of BlizzCon 2023, and I will protect it with my life. It is so stupid. I love it so much.

One of the best parts of BlizzCon is seeing people dressed as some of our favorite characters in incredibly skilled -- and sometimes just plain hilarious -- cosplay around the convention.

Even in the eye of the hurricane that was BlizzCon 2023, there were spots which seemed quiet, or lonely, or just plain aesthetic.

Community Night at BlizzCon represents the best we have to offer for cosplay, filmmaking, and art, showcased in one spot.

While we lost the Assault map mode -- frequently called Two Control Point, or 2CP, by fans -- when Overwatch 2 began, the map mode and its beautiful maps were just waiting for a remix.

Update: While an emulator remains the only way to play Warcraft Rumble on PC right now, Blizzard has announced a PC version with a beta due out in December 2024.
