As of Wrath of the Lich King Classic Phase 2, the Argent Crusade moved in to the backyard of Icecrown Citadel and began the construction of the Crusaders’ Coliseum, bringing with it the Argent Tournament.

Like WoW Classic and Burning Crusade Classic before it, Wrath of the Lich King Classic starts at a late patch (3.3.5) in terms of balance and class changes, but game content will roll out over the course of five phases, as well as a prepatch interval I’m terming “phase zero.” It mimics the original game release to an extent, but there will be some items whose availability will be unlocked as well over the course of the phases.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic's second phase of content is bringing back some familiar, highly anticipated activities and while some of these won't arrive exactly as some players remember them, one aspect will be entirely new -- Titan Rune Dungeons.

Wrath Classic's second of five phases --launching today, January 17 -- is expected to bring content originally delivered in patch 3.1, including the Ulduar raid and the Argent Tournament Grounds, as well as Season 6 of PVP.

It's been a few months since Phase 1 of Wrath of the Lich King Classic went live, giving players the opportunity to complete Naxxramas, The Obsidian Sanctum, The Eye of Eternity, and Vault of Archavon as they journey through Northrend.

A surprise new mount showed up in World of Warcraft: the Frostbrood Proto-Wyrm.

Wrath Classic is adding a new difficulty to dungeons in Phase 2 with Titan Rune Dungeons, which allow players to gear up with 10-man raid level loot from Phase 1 — helping to keep Wrath dungeons relevant throughout the game. Blizzard has talked about increasing dungeon difficulty and improving loot before, originally calling it "Heroic Plus," but now the feature is live on the PTR for testing.

While we don't have confirmation that there will be a Cataclysm Classic after Wrath Classic, I believe it's inevitable, simply because WoW Classic is tremendously popular.

While you can enjoy the Wrath Classic experience without any addons, addons can boost your quality of life, organize your bags, help you make gold, water your plagued crops, and raise your dead into a cursed unlife.

The WoW Classic team announced that players of Season of Mastery characters now have the choice to transfer to Wrath Classic or Classic Era servers -- because Season of Mastery servers are going to be closed, and the characters remaining there straight up deleted, at a later date yet to be announced.
