The War Within

WoW patch 11.2, Ghosts of K'aresh, will arrive soon -- August 5, in fact!

The Ethereals (and their erstwhile cousins the Brokers) have a huge role to play in WoW patch 11.2 -- which makes sense, since we're off to their broken homeworld of K'aresh to save what's left of it (plus, you know, the known universe) from the Void Lord Dimensius.

In patch 11.1, we got our first look at Blizzard's new plan for progressively rewarding continued raiding as well as making raids easier over time in the form of our first raid Renown track -- the Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club.

The War Within patch 11.2 Ghosts of K'aresh will release August 5, 2025, with season 3 beginning one week later on August 12.

It won't be that before patch 11.2 of The War Within is upon us, which means a new Mythic+ season, and Ghosts of K'aresh is coming with an interesting set of dungeons -- a few old returning favorites we haven't seen in a while, one brand new dungeon that comes with the patch, and then a small pool of The War Within's dungeons that the community voted on.

Patch 11.1.7 of World of Warcraft is now live, which means it's time to put on your insulated safety gloves and dive into some Overcharged Delves.

Yesterday's big news came in the form of a bonafide void-tinged cornucopia, as we learned that the next major content patch of The War Within will be the Ghosts of K'aresh update in patch 11.2.

For most of patch 11.1's run, the question on the minds of many World of Warcraft players has been: where do we go next?

One of the most anticipated features of The War Within's upcoming patch 11.1.7 update is the addition of Lorewalking, which allows players to experience some of the most important and influential story arcs in the history of Azeroth in-game.

Now that we've had roughly half of an expansion to get used to the idea of our characters all working as a cohesive unit, it's time for a bit of a retrospective on how our approaches to selecting which World of Warcraft character to play have changed.
