Hippo

Believe it or not, the Metro Richmond Zoo's precious Poppy was merely the last arrival in a personality-packed lineup of newborn pygmy hippos in the last year.

It's cold, wet, or snowy, and just all over miserable, but World Hippo Day is February 15!

Somehow, despite this site's love for hippos of the pygmy variety, we've written very little about hippos of the extremely adorable full-sized variety.
