Patch 12.0.5

While there's a ton coming to WoW in patch 12.0.5, one of the smaller features, Abyss Anglers, caught our eye, because it seems similar to an indie game a lot of us around the office adore: Dave the Diver.

World of Warcraft's newest expansion, Midnight, just launched on March 2, 2026, but Blizzard is not content to bask in the success of what is, by all accounts, a well-received expansion launch, and the developers are already hard at work on patch 12.0.5.

Continuing on a trend of transparency that started prior to Dragonflight, the World of Warcraft team today gave us a look at a 2026 roadmap that shows both the expected cadence of Midnight's content patches, as well as some new and exciting features and game modes and the return of an older feature that we haven't seen outside of a single experiment during Battle for Azeroth.

With all this Player Housing stuff finally coming to WoW, adding a Prop Hunt mode where the player can become the decor is an obvious next step.
