The Queue: Real life group questing
Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!
By the time you read this, I’m likely already in a car on my way to pick up Alex from the airport, with Mitch soon to follow. We’re embarking on a group quest that’s going to take us through Arizona and ultimately, to BlizzCon. It’s going to be great!
Q4tR: Is the Rogue Class Hall actually inside the Dalaran shell that everyone else runs around on, or is it instanced like the Mage hall?
It’s inside the Dalaran shell with everyone else, not instanced. It is, however, phased — and if you aren’t a Rogue, you’ll get kicked right back out again if you happen to somehow find your way inside.
Q4TQ: I expected Blizzard to release 7.1 before Blizzcon all along because I figured they would want to announce/talk about 7.2 at Blizzcon but since we don’t get the Nighthold raid before next year, do you think they will talk about 7.2 at Blizzcon? Is it possible for them to talk about an upcoming patch without spoiling how the current patch content will resolve?
It’s possible, especially if the next patch doesn’t have too much to do with the Nighthold. I’m not exactly sure what we’re going to be getting on the WoW front this year — we may just see them talk about Legion so far, what’s worked with the expansion, what they’ve learned, that kind of thing. I wouldn’t push future patch news off the table just yet, though — you never know.
It’s my first trip to blizzcon, and looking over the schedule there is SO MUCH more that I want to do than I actually can! If ever there was a time for Storm, Earth, and Fire…
That’s perfectly normal — that’s how I felt my first year, too! With the Virtual Ticket, you don’t have to worry so much about missing things, because you can always go back and watch the big panels later. I’d focus on picking out the things you want to see and experience that you can’t access from the Virtual Ticket, and focus on those.
When Turalyon says that “all worlds will burn” if we fail, does that include worlds in out dimensions like AU Draenor?
Everything. Every world known to existence, including those that exist elsewhere in different realities. The Burning Legion transcends realities. When they say they want to wipe out the universe, they mean the entire thing, top to bottom.
Q4TQ: The whole shtick with the new Mission system is that you can “overcharge” a mission to get a chance at a bonus reward, but on some missions the game refuses to go over 100% despite my champion’s power level or any additional troops I add on top, is that intentional?
There is a conditional threat called Cursed which, if not countered, makes it impossible to go above 100% success on a mission. You’ve likely got one of those that hasn’t been countered — thankfully, it’s easy enough to fix just by countering the threat!
That’s it for today’s Queue — if you have any questions you’d like to see answered, be sure to leave them in the comments below!
