Argi raises more than 1.9 million for Red Cross

I still haven’t quite figured out what the battle pet Argi is, exactly — I think, were anyone to use the words “space goat,” they would best apply to the little guy. But regardless of his mysterious origins, sales of Argi in the month of December have raised over 1.9 million for the Red Cross to help support the ongoing Ebola relief efforts in Africa. 100% of Argi’s sales for every battle pet purchased by December 31, 2014 went to help out, and that included Argi battle pets sold in the bundle along with the Grinning Reaver mount.

Those of us here at Blizzard Watch are keenly aware of just what the World of Warcraft community is capable of when it comes to helping out, and it’s great to see that Blizzard’s charity pet did so incredibly well this year. While the donation drive is over, you can still pick up Argi, or the Grinning Reaver, from the Battle.net shop — and if you’d like to give a little to the Red Cross on your own, the organization is always taking donations as well.
