Breakfast Topic: Your proudest gaming achievement

World of Warcraft‘s landscape of achievements covers a wide range of difficulties. Some achievements you stumble into accidentally, not even realizing they exist before you get them. Others, however, take lots of concentrated effort — I’m looking at you, Insane in the Membrane, which is difficult despite the fact that a reputation was dropped from the original requirements.

But when I get an in-game achievement and the requisite (and sometimes automated) round of grats start coming in from my guildmates, sometimes the achievement seems hollow. Is the fact that I walked into a zone of the map I hadn’t realized I hadn’t already discovered worth a round of celebration? But today, let’s talk about the achievements that feel like achievements.
