Breakfast Topic: Who should be the next Hearthstone hero?

The first Hearthstone alternate class skin has been announced and it’s none other than famed World of Warcraft warrior and King of Ironforge Magni Bronzebeard. For the $10 USD purchase price, you’ll get an entrance animation, a custom hero portrait, custom voice over and emotes, a new play area and a unique cardback.

So this got us talking in the Blizzard Watch work chat room and we had all sorts of ideas for other WoW lore figures to be featured as alternate class portraits in Hearthstone. We talked about more Horde representation, more Alliance representation, more women, more WC2 characters and, of course, more gnomes. Any gnomes, really. They’re in the new Hearthstone commercial for Elune’s sake.

For example, with the Mage class, they could feature Kael’thas (hot off his Heroes debut), Medivh or that shifty is-he-or-isn’t-he Archmage Khadgar. How about Garona for the Rogue class or Yrel for the Paladin class? The possibilities are endless, but what it really comes down to is: which WoW lore character is worth $10 to you as an alt class skin in Hearthstone?
