Hearthstone Championship qualifier round ends in rare draw

As the Hearthstone competitive season continues to narrow down the field for the World Finals at BlizzCon, regional tournaments are wrapping up. This includes the South East Asia finals last week that held their qualifier rounds and with it came with a surprise: a game with no winner.

To have a game where both players are killed simultaneously is very rare in Hearthstone and even more so at tournaments where competitors are more careful in their plays to prevent it from happening. But when player Neilyo of Vietnam used a Swipe to defeated his opponent it also killed the other player’s Leper Gnome whose deathrattle killed him at the same time. The game was called a draw and new one had to be played. Neilyo won the rematch and advanced to the Asia Pacific regional finals. Check it out in the video below.
