Breakfast Topic: Happy holidays

Today is that magical day of the year, you know the one — the one where all the presents under the Winter Veil tree show up! This year you’ll find a Crashin’ Thrashin’ Flamer Controller waiting for you, along with the associated achievement for picking it up. There’s also an assortment of Lounge cushion toys, a “Merry Munchkin” Costume, and the elusive Red Wooden Sled as well. Don’t forget to pay Greatfather Winter (or Great-father Winter) a visit and pick up all your new goodies!

It’s the holiday season out in the real world as well — my family won’t be officially celebrating the holidays until next weekend, but there’ll still be a tree, gift exchanging, and of course dinner with the usual round of holiday cookies, fudge, and other sweets. This is the first year we’ve moved the holiday hijinks, largely because of conflicting schedules and arranging time off. So my day here is going to be spent quietly writing, maybe playing some games, and checking to see if we did in fact get some kind of snow on Christmas Day.
