This wooden Bastion model is perfect
We have a solution for the bad day you’re having. And even if you’re not having a bad day, this will make it better.
That’s sculptor Ch.ZBK making a wooden Bastion model of the Overwatch character that can even shift into his turret form. Sure, there’s no Ganymede, but we’re willing to overlook that because, dang, it’s a hand-made model that shifts between Bastion form and turret form. Color us impressed. And, while the video only lasts eight minutes, it’s pretty clear it took a lot more work to complete — not to mention the effort to plan its construction.
If you enjoy the Bastion video, he also created a Tracer figure as well. All of the round shapes involved in making a person rather than a robot means she looks a little less perfect, but then again if someone dumped wood and paint and assembly instructions on our desk, she would look a lot more like a stick figure. Plus the paint job looks great.
So spend a few minutes today to watch Ch.ZBK at work. Even if you can’t admire the skill it takes to put these together, watching Ch.ZBK assemble these models is kind of soothing in and of itself.
