The Queue: That’s not how you do the thing
Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!
Tethys, I’m pretty sure that’s not how you’re supposed to use a spyglass. You’ve got your finger in the middle of it. …no wonder Tess is so frustrated with you.
Q4tQ: Do you keep random “trash” items in your bags for sentimental reasons? I keep an “Undelivered Love Letter” and I know someone who keeps a kite shield I sent him because of an inside joke. I know a shaman who still has an ankh because you can’t get them anymore.
Oh boy. Let’s see, I still have the Scepter of the Shifting Sands — on two characters, and I still have a copy of Sully Balloo’s Letter to his wife Sara on one of my characters somewhere, and my Draenei Shaman has a Tiny Naaru Statue from Telmor. As for my Rogue, she kept the Statue of Xuen and a Pandaren Tea Pot from Pandaria, still has a set of Thieves’ Tools, and always has a little Pocket Lint in her pockets. Oh, and my bank alt has a pile of Squashed Rabbit Carcasses. Don’t ask.
Question: I’ve noticed a number of blatantly outfitted “Kul Tiras Sailors” and or “Kul Tiras Marines” in a few zones in Legion. Is this heavy (or light) foreshadowing of one of the original human factions playing an eventual role in this expansion?
Oh one would hope so. But the thing is, there’s been evidence of the Kul Tiras being around before. Heck, they were gathered in Tiragarde Keep in Durotar before the Cataclysm — leftovers of Grand Admiral Proudmoore’s fleet. They show up in Legion because some Kul Tiras soldiers were supposedly kidnapped and taken by sea giants. So it’s not unheard of that they exist, but Kul Tiras itself — that’s still a mystery. I’m hoping we do see it pop back up again, because hey — Jaina had to go somewhere when she left Dalaran. Wouldn’t Kul Tiras be a logical place for her to go?
I leveled Balance on my Druid, but after nabbing the Feral Artifact….man, go Feral. Kitty tears things up. Pick Restoration affinity and you’ll be fine.
Q4tQ: What ever happened to Arthas’ body? What’s stopping my death knight from marching up and reviving my former Lord?
We don’t actually know. It was removed from the scene and relocated somewhere else. I’d assume (or I’d hope anyway) that whoever did so had the presence of mind to burn the body, in order to prevent a situation just like the one you mentioned. I mean…Arthas is pretty much gone. He’s floating in blackness, he sees nothing, he’s pretty kaput.
Q4tQ: I know we fought back the demon invasions in the pre-expansion on Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms, but how is Northrend and Pandaria fairing? Are they just crawling with demons right now, or is Lich King Bolvar and the Celestials holding them at bay?
If you play through the Monk Class Hall and Artifact quests you’ll get a general idea of how Pandaria is faring. Areas are still under attack here and there, but the efforts of the Burning Legion are pretty focused on the Broken Isles right now. That’s where the Pillars of Creation are located, and it’s also ground zero for potential Sargeras arrival, so they’re doing more around that area at this point. The rest of Azeroth doesn’t matter so much — and it really won’t matter once they get all the pieces in place and bring their leader into the mix. At that point, Azeroth is toast.
