How do you feel about class changes?

When’s a good time for a class redesign? Do you prefer them during the launch of a new expansion, or would you rather see one happen in a patch if a class seems to need them? How do they affect your ability to play a class? Can you adapt to them quickly or have you ever switched classes because a redesign made it too hard for you to play the class you once did?

I’ve been playing Warriors for 13 years now, and in that time we’ve seen quite a few overhauls. None of them have ever made me want to switch to a different class but I’d be lying if I said I never considered it — both the switch between Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm and the overhaul between Warlords and Legion took a lot out of me, and I’m still not happy we lost Single-Minded Fury and Gladiator’s Resolve. (I also really miss stances. They were such a huge part of Warrior play and now they’re gone.)

With news that 7.2.5 is bringing some significant changes to Arms — some talents are gone, some are moving to different tiers, others are redesigned to work differently — it feels like I’m going to have to relearn my current class/spec again and this time in the middle of an expansion. It’s a touch daunting. So if you’ve ever said “Nope, Holy Power isn’t for me” or “Outlaw? What’s that about?” then I ask — how do you feel about class changes?
