The Queue: Illustrious portents
Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!
Greetings and salutations, gentle readers. I have returned only to note that change is on the wind. In the vast expanse beyond your being, a time has coalesced and taken form: 9pm Central. This bright and shining future is nigh — in approximately nine hours. Until then, let us not dwell upon events that have yet to be, and instead return to reflect upon your questions, and their corresponding answers. I now return you to this, your regularly scheduled Queue.
…Does anyone else have a sudden headache?
Q4tQ: What can we spend our class hall resources on? I’m really stacking them up on one character and I’m a bit at a loss as to what to do with them. Is there a way to transfer them to poorer alts?
There is not, unfortunately. The most you can do is purchase Artifact Research Compendiums to send to your alts, which should help them catch up. Alternatively, you can always use additional resources to purchase Seals of Broken Fate for bonus rolls. Other than that, there really isn’t much to spend them on — I’m hoping we’ll some alternate items we can purchase with the things at some point before the expansion ends, they feel a little underutilized right now.
Given where we’re supposed to be traveling next patch, I’m not sure if we’re really going to expect our champions to just pack up and come along with us for the ride. But while I don’t have a solid answer to that question, I’d say really, just max out your champions. You don’t have to dedicate a ton of time to it, just nab gear from missions when it pops up and kit them all out to 900. There’s no rush to do it, but since we don’t know what we’ll be facing, I wouldn’t call it an unwise idea.
So my paladin was in Molten Core farming mog, his queues for Nighthold and Emerald Nightmare LFRs popped, did ’em, came back, and am now outside Molten Core and Lothos Riftwalker, who usually teleports you to MC, is nowhere to be seen… What do I do now?
There’s a window in that little cubby Lothos stands in. Jump through that, it’ll teleport you into the instance. There’s no indication that it’ll do that, no swirling portal or anything, but it’s there. If you turn around and walk back out of the entrance, don’t worry, you won’t be stuck in lava — you’ll just exit right in front of Lothos as usual.
That was the preferred entrance for almost the entirety of my old 40-man raid team back in vanilla. There’s just something about hurling yourself through a window to what appears to be your doom that is inherently more fun than talking to an NPC or stepping through a swirling vortex, you know?
So I have quests for 7 different dungeons. How many times do you think I would need to queue for a random Heroic before I hit on one of my quests?
I’d say just queue for the specific dungeons you need — it might make the queue time a little longer, but you’ll be getting exactly what you’re after. When I had quests for dungeons I’d just queue up and go about my usual round of world quests until the queue popped, it never really took that long — and I play a Rogue, no healing or tanking options for me.
Q4tQ: How can you tell if a mission is a Legionfall mission?
When you click the mission title to get to the window where you assign your champions, the location of the mission is displayed under the mission name. You’re looking for missions that are designated as Broken Shore. You can also spot them pretty easily because they’ve usually got a background image that displays the Broken Shore.
That’s it for today’s Queue — if you have any questions you’d like to see answered, be sure to leave them in the comments below!
