Diablo 3 gets a first look at Season 12’s rewards
If you didn’t play, Diablo 3’s Season 11 was a lot of fun with the introduction of the Necromancer and some good class sets available. If anything, Season 12 is shaping up to be even better coming on the heels of patch 2.6.1. We’ve now got our first look at what the rewards for Season 12 will be, and I’m pretty excited. Excited enough to start a new Seasonal Hero? Absolutely. And why wouldn’t I be, with the full Immortal King (a set that’s eluded me for months now) available via Haedrig’s Gift?
What, you didn’t think I’d level as something besides a Barbarian, did you? They just buffed us. With Season 12 starting on November 9th — less than two weeks away — let’s talk about what you can get for completing your Seasonal Journey. {PB}
First up, the Class Sets you can get via Haedrig’s Gift. You get two pieces in a cache for completing Chapter 2, 3 and 4 of your Season, but that’s it. You can only complete the Season once across Hardcore and non-Hardcore difficulty. Once per character.
These sets are:
- Barbarian – Immortal King’s Call
- Crusader – Seeker of the Light
- Demon Hunter – Natalya’s Vengeance
- Monk – Uliana’s Stratagem
- Necromancer – Trag’Oul’s Avatar
- Witch Doctor – Spirit of Arachyr
- Wizard – Vyr’s Amazing Arcana
You don’t have to play on a specific class in order to complete these sets. If you already have the Immortal King set, for example, you can still play a Barbarian for your Seasonal Hero. But you can send the caches from completing Chapters 2, 3 and 4 to a Necromancer to open if you’d rather have the Trag’Oul’s Avatar set.
As cool as that is, it’s hardly all you get.
This Season’s cosmetic rewards are themed after the High Heavens. There are the two pieces of the Season exclusive Conqueror’s set, gloves and chestplate, a new series of frames for your portraits with a kind of gleaming stained glass look, and a set of wings patterned after the elusive Fiacla-Géar.
This long-unseen Nephalem was as a brother to Bul-Kathos and founded the Druids of Scosglen. If Blizzard hadn’t specifically said we’re not getting any announcements at BlizzCon 2017 I would be speculating right now that we’re going to see a Rise of the Necromancer style Druid pack for Diablo 3.
If you haven’t yet earned the full four stash tabs via Season play, you can earn another by completing the Conqueror tier in the Season. There are also new conquests to complete.
If any or all of that appeals to you as much as it does to me — I really had a ton of fun in Season 11 — then you can start your Season 12 journey on November 9th at 5:00 PM PDT in North America, 5:00 PM CEST in Europe and finally 5:00 PM KST in Asia. You don’t even have to play a Barbarian! I don’t understand why you wouldn’t, but you don’t have to.
