What alternate reality from Heroes of the Storm do you want to be real?

Heroes of the Storm is a unique title in Blizzard’s ever-expanding roster of games in that it can take characters from any universe and do… pretty much anything with them! You want Stitches in a bikini? No problem! Don’t want that but do want an alternate version of Malfurion that isn’t terrible? Heroes can make it happen.

But outside of one-off oddities, the other part of this design that I love is Blizzard’s ability to create alternate realities that bring heroes from any universe together thematically. For instance, not too long ago, the amazing PVE Brawl that graced us with its presence showed us what would happen if a bunch of Blizzard’s characters were Zerg-ified. They exist in a universe where Anub’arak, the Butcher, and Tychus are all Zerg baddies working together.

Another universe that seems to exist in Heroes of the Storm? One where several characters are superheroes (or supervillains) with some sort of overarching conflict that exists among them all. If we were to receive a comic — or at the very least, another Brawl — themed around these, I would be ecstatic! The idea of Blizzard universes coming together as superheroes in some sort of cheesy, POW! KABLAM! SMACK!-style romp? How can I make this happen?

What I’m getting at here is, Heroes of the Storm has made cross-universe, alternate-reality scenarios a real thing. And while I don’t expect Blizzard to ever take each and every idea and run with it, I’d be perfectly happy with them choosing even one alternate reality to do something special with. It’s not like they’re not willing to have fun with these realities — they made a short cartoon of evil characters for Kel’Thuzad’s release, after all — but I want to see them go all in.

For me, the reality I want to see given a special spotlight — be it comic, cartoon, or a PVE-style in-game story event — is whichever one gave Abathur and the Lost Vikings the pajama treatment. No, there’s not currently a full roster of pajama-themed characters, but who cares? Heroes has introduced that reality, and I want to see the rest of it!
