Win up to 3,000 free Hearthstone card packs in Quest for Packs sweepstakes

Hearthstone is giving away a ludicrous number of free card packs to conclude the Year of the Mammoth. All you need to do to participate is complete your Daily Quests between today, February 1, and Wednesday, February 14.

Introducing the Quest for Packs Sweepstakes!

Everybody loves opening Hearthstone card packs. . . . How would you like a chance to open 3,000 of them?

To celebrate the amazing adventures we had together in the Year of the Mammoth, starting at 9:00 a.m. PST on February 1 and up until 9:00 p.m. PST on February 14, each daily Quest* you complete during the Quest for Packs grants you one entry for a chance to win 3,000 Hearthstone card packs, the Lich King’s helm, and more!

It’s incredibly easy to enter—just log in and complete a daily Quest! That’s it!

Quest for Packs Prizes

The rewards for this quest are very rich indeed! You could win one of these prizes:

Grand Prize – One (1) grand prize winner will receive a prize package including:

  • 3,000 Hearthstone Card Packs – That’s 1,000 packs from each expansion released during the Year of the Mammoth: Journey to Un’goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne, and Kobolds & Catacombs.
  • The Lich King’s Helm – We found it in his desk after his internship ended. Now we’re passing it on to you! Yes, the very same helm worn by the Lich King as he stalked the halls of Blizzard Entertainment could be yours!
  • Hearthstone Apparel Gift Pack– When the crown of Grand Prize Winner grows too heavy, try this t-shirt, cap, and pin on for size!

Mammoth Card Bundle – One thousand (1,000) players will receive a Mammoth Card Bundle containing 10 packs from each expansion released during the Year of the Mammoth.

Mammoth Pack – Fifty thousand (50,000) players will receive three card packs—one from each expansion released during the Year of the Mammoth.

As with any contest, giveaway, or sweepstakes, make sure you read the rules for eligibility (link points to a PDF) and the fine print. Notably, this detail: “Entries limited to a maximum of fourteen (14) per Battle.net account and one (1) entry per day.”

If your grand plan was to use the Daily Quests you’ve had stocked up from the last few days to earn a few extra entries, that won’t do much for you. Nor can you play catch-up by doing two Daily Quests in one day in the event you miss a day somewhere along the line. If you want to maximize your chances to win, you better be darn sure you do your Daily Quest every single day for the next couple of weeks.

In the event you don’t feel too confident about your chances of winning this sweepstakes, the Mammoth Card Bundle will be available for a limited time with the upcoming release of patch 10.2. For $19.99 you’ll receive 10 packs each from Journey to Un’goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne, and Kobolds & Catacombs — 30 card packs in total. This bundle can only be purchased once per account.

Year of the Mammoth will be concluding before we know it — and the recently announced card nerfs are no doubt in preparation for them transitioning out of Standard play and into Wild. Even if you have a full collection right now, winning a pile of free card packs will help you stock up on dust for future expansions, so you might as well give it a try.
