The new Junkrat Nendoroid is adorably terrifying

The Good Smile Company’s line of Overwatch Nendoroids continues to expand with its latest addition: Junkrat. The figure, priced at $49.99, is currently available for pre-order on Blizzard’s Gear Store and is expected to ship in Q1 2019.

This figure comes with an articulated stand and a variety of accessories so you can customize how, exactly, you display your trashmouse.

From the globally popular multiplayer team based shooter Overwatch®, comes the eighth Nendoroid figure from the series, Junkrat! His artificial arm and leg, the multiple patches on his pants and various other details from his Classic Skin have been carefully included on the Nendoroid design!

Nendoroid Junkrat’s neck features a double-joint allowing for more acrobatic poses as he propels himself through the air! The RIP-Tire on his back can be detached and comes with its own stand to pose it as if moving along as if Junkrat has used his ultimate ability! A concussion mine part as well as the switch to detonate it are included allowing him to be posed waiting to trigger the mine on an unsuspecting enemy.

His steel trap is also included and can be opened and closed allowing you to display heroes trapped by the metal-toothed trap, and can even be held in his hand to recreate his Vaudeville emote in Nendoroid size! Be sure to add him to your collection and display him with the previously announced heroes in the Overwatch® Nendoroid series!

While I admit Junkrat is far from my favorite character in the Overwatch franchise, this figurine is both adorable and terrifying. The Good Smile Company nailed Junkrat’s manic attitude, and that attitude rendered in such a cute figure only enhances the effect. And, much like the articulated stand from the Widowmaker Figma, the stand that comes with the Junkrat Nendoroid serves him really well — you can not only recreate his aerial acrobatics, but many of his actual in-game battle poses, such as using his Rip-Tire:

If Junkrat isn’t up your alley, though, have no fear. The Good Smile Company has plenty of other options for you. Previous entries in their Nendoroid line include Tracer, Mei, Mercy, Genji, Hanzo, and D.Va. Their Figma line, which have more realistic and true-to-the-game proportions, includes Tracer, Genji, Widowmaker, and Reaper.
