The Queue: Happy Labor day!
Today’s a holiday for a bunch of people! If you’re one of those people — congratulations! I hope you can enjoy a well-deserved day off. Maybe find a nice secluded beach with comfy chairs and blended rum drinks with tiny umbrellas. If it’s not a holiday for you, forget everything I just said except for the drinks with tiny umbrellas, it’s never a bad time for one of those.
While I look for the perfect island to set up camp on, it’s time for — The Queue.
Q4tQ: Should a raid’s armour/weapon lootdrops be available regardless of which boss you fight?
Q4tQ: Should beds/coffins be functional like chairs are?
Q4tQ: Do people still get the Horde Choppers mount free anymore?
Q4tQ: Does anyone else hope for a return to Azeroth Choppers, but without the fake drama?
Lightning round!
No there are too many things in raids, and being able to target specific bosses for specific drops is nice. Hopefully, there comes a point in raid farming where you can just skip entire wings and focus on the bosses you really want.
Beds for everyone. Coffins only for Forsaken and Venthyr.
Sadly nope Alliance can still buy theirs. But Horde are out of luck. It has something to do with being a contest and weird rules around prizes being given out. Which is a shame, I really like the Horde Chopper and wish that more people could get it.
Oh, all the time. I love watching people make cool things — especially when those cool things are about Warcraft! Maybe instead of a contest or a competition just have them make two new motorcycles, one for each faction and then we all get them forever. Hit level 10 and bam, here’s the keys to your motorcycle, try not to wreck it.
Q4tQ: why don’t we have a bunny mount yet?
I think it’s a size issue. Bunnies are notoriously small and cute, and the mounts we ride have to be big and strong enough to carry Tauren and Draenei — while still being cute in some cases. We just haven’t found a reliable source of bunnies that can carry around adventurers. But once we find a couple I suspect that we’ll soon be up to our eyeballs in hopping mounts. There’ll be so many bunny mounts that the Alliance will be begging for another horse.
Q4tQ, or anyone else that has a weigh in: The gift of N’Zoth. Anyone else still have it, or do you prefer your helm transmog over a third eye?
My main is still proudly wearing his! N’zoth was nice enough to give me a gift, after all, it’d be rude to take it off. I’ve got plenty of transmogs that look pretty good with that eye on my forehead, but even ones that don’t 100% match are pretty cool too. Plus we won’t even see it in Shadowlands and most other zones, it’ll be a nice reminder of all the good times that N’zoth and I had during Battle for Azeroth whenever I come back to one of those zones.

Q4tQ:
Do we expect after Shadowlands that the mobs, pets, and mounts from Covenants will become account-wide, rather than because you currently belong to <said> Covenant as it is now on Beta?
I don’t know about mounts, but I bet pets will be something that anyone can use regardless of Covenant. My Mage can summon the Death Knight whelping pets from the Acherus Class Hall. So hopefully the Shadowlands pets follow the same logic. Ideally, once you’ve earned the mounts from the different Covenants you’ll be able to ride them on anyone, but I’m not sure if they’ll let us do that.
Crazy question incoming……
Should there be an option for our characters to die (heroic death of course) permanently? Maybe in exchange for something else like the character’s heir?
Killing a player character permanently would be a rough thing for Warcraft to do. I know players who are still using their very first character from 2004, that’s a lot of history to have someone die. I know that there are ways to make death feel earned and epic, but I don’t know that there’s any sort of reward possible to make someone kill off one of their longstanding characters like that.
Diablo has the Hardcore mode for players who want that extra adrenalin rush of knowing that if you live by a sliver of health, you were really a hair’s breadth away from starting over from scratch and losing all of your shiny gear. But Diablo characters aren’t really the same, especially ones you’ve made for Hardcore. I’ve got a bunch of dead Hardcore heroes on my account. Losing the first ones was tough, but there comes a time where it’s just part of the game, they’re disposable in a way that our Warcraft ones aren’t.
If we were going to get a system built around characters dying for benefits, it’d probably have to be tied into something that players interact with, but not directly affecting players. Like a mission table where if you fail a mission your followers can die, but you’ll get back equipment from them that can help your other followers. Sure you’re sad that your beefy Orc Grunt “Slashface the Magnificent” was a veteran of twenty missions died, but his leveled up greataxe can be passed along to the next Grunt for bonuses.
Q4tQ: is Jellycat lime, or catnip flavored?
Sour Apple. But really extra sour. I’m talking Homer eating the sour lemon ball levels of sour.

Have a great rest of your day everyone! Make sure that you’re not too busy relaxing to leave questions for Anna!
