The Queue: Let’s go to the Maw today
Let’s go to the Maw everybody
Come on Jaina, come on Thrally,
Let’s go to the Maw you will be sorry
Put on your armored mage glove
And your cool gigantic beads
In the Maw, the Jailer looks down on us from above
It’s the Queue. Let’s all go to the Maw.
I’m so far behind on everything it isn’t funny. And I have zero desire to even try to catch up
I didn’t hit level 60 on my current main (who I leveled second) until like last week? Maybe the week before. At any rate, I was way, way behind on everything. And honestly, I wasn’t going to try and catch up… but now I’m like near the Renown cap, I’ve got myself up to ilevel 188 or so, I’m doing okay. And it happened without me really trying to make it happen — I just did quests and dungeons and ended up where I am now. I’m lucky that I’m in a very casual guild that was okay with me coming along on raids after two weeks of them working on them without me.
My advice would be, if you’re not feeling like playing the game? Don’t. Let yourself play at your own pace. The catchup stuff means you’ll get there on your own schedule. And if you just don’t want to play at all? Listen to yourself. Maybe the game isn’t what you need to focus on right now. It’ll still be here when you’re ready.
BTW, I’m curious about your thoughts on City of Heroes: Homecoming, but I imagine it’s a sensitive subject for people with audiences. Last I checked, the Homecoming devs don’t want people streaming or YouTubing about it, at least.
I mean, I’m not playing it, and I’m not really that up on it. From what I understand NCSoft still owns the City of Heroes IP and isn’t interested in selling it, so the year long negotiation between the people behind City of Heroes: Homecoming and the company hasn’t produced any results. That’s why they don’t want people streaming the game, because they are in essence a pirate server.
I mean, I’d like it if NCSoft just either sold the IP or started up a City of Heroes server. But I don’t believe they’ll do either, as strange and obstinate as it seems to hold on to an IP you have no intention of making money with or otherwise using. I mean, the Homecoming team sounded positive back in August and the game still exists, so maybe they’ll finally just realize they’re better off selling or licensing the game than letting it lie dead for eight years and counting.
Clearly the game has a strong fanbase that would love to play it again. Why not do it? I’ve never understood why NCSoft thought this was the right decision.
Who is your favorite character to rescue from Torghast? Mine is Moriaz who has lost his adorable construct Buttons. The vocal dialogue when you rescue Buttons is just amazing and I want a little Buttons plush that says “Morraazzzzzz!”
I enjoyed saving a chunk of Night Elf souls from the eternal torment they were banished to. I want to save more of them.
In the Nazmir Horde quest line in BFA, we see Torga re-incarnated after Bwonsamdi summons him. Would he have passed through Ardenweald in order to do this?
Based on what we see in the lead up to the Other Side dungeon and the Ardenweald Campaign, yes, but he might not have been entirely ready to do so — it seems possible that Bwonsamdi funneled Anima to Torga’s Wildseed the same way that Mueh’zala funneled it to Hakkar and Dambala. Or maybe he just snuck in and stole the thing — the Winter Queen is less than pleased to see him when you ask her to assist you and him against Mueh’zala.
Anyone else tried the timewalking event yet? Heads up that Pit of Saron is pretty poorly scaled. The trash before the gauntlet was one and two shotting us. It took a lot of cc (more than usual), a lot of kiting, and many deaths. I don’t expect it to be easy, but one frostbolt taking about 3/4 of my health seems high.
I did, I got Pit of Saron, the tank thought he could just chain pull and got his sorry butt deceased repeatedly. It felt the way PoS did when it first came out, if you didn’t use CC and kill those caster mobs super fast they destroyed people.
Okay, that’s the Queue for today.
Everybody run away
The Jailer’s eye is on its way
