The Queue: Presents!

Greatfather Winter has been good to us and we’ve all gotten our presents from beneath the trees in Ironforge and Orgrimmar. I like that the Rock n Roll Racers got to pop up again, even if they’re looking like they’ll never get their moment to shine in Heroes of the Storm.

I hope that your real-life presents were excellent and that you were able to have a safe and happy holiday if you were celebrating.

While I try and get back into the mindset of working, it’s time for — The Queue.

At this point, I’d really like to see Silithus expanded. Hopefully, we can get some closure where it comes to the giant sword that’s still sticking out of our planet. I just think that maybe that’s something that we should be dedicating a bit more of our attention to. Throw some more cultists and bugs into the zone for a little conflict — or some demons attracted to big Papa Sargeras’ sword, and bam you’ve got some ready-made conflict. Conflict that requires a heroic presence, or at least some established Horde and Alliance garrisons.

Desolace could also use a facelift. Maybe something Naga related to coincide with the return of Queen Azshara? That’d get my attention in a big way!

I don’t have any secret trap doors, or ancient treasures though! I imagine that she would get bored of me pretty quickly.

and taking a page from Mitch’s book: Cory. Try and guess that one! I don’t have a prize to offer though, sorry. If you’re still after Mitch’s prize though — nobody still was able to guess the correct one-word movie title that he replaced with Mitch. I know what it is and y’all are gonna make such a screech when you figure it out.

I’m not Jax, but I have watched almost all of the Marvel stuff.

Yelena is a really great character. It’s almost unfair how good she is. Florence Pugh is perfect for the role, and I hope that we see her for many more years. I’m a big fan of Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man. It’s also unfair how charming he is, I mean it’s Paul Rudd he’s so likable! I haven’t seen Eternals or the new Spider-Man yet, so I can’t speak to any of the characters from there — but I also want to give a shoutout to Alfred Molina from the Sam Raimi Spider-Man 2. What a performance, just great stuff. Alfred knew the assignment and executed it flawlessly in my mind.

Also shoutout to Jax for running a Faux-Queue on Friday in place of the regularly scheduled one. It was pretty much perfect. So perfect that I almost just ran it today instead of doing my own…

Oh, Thrall definitely. He has the kind of dignity that would give the best reaction from being pied. Sure he might splutter and be upset, but I don’t think I would be in danger of anything other than some light elemental revenge. Not like if I threw a pie at Queen Azshara or Genn Greymane. Magical destruction or a ferocious mauling would be my swift reward.

As for what kind of pie? Something like a key lime with lots of whipped cream would give the best splatter, but I’m leaning towards a strawberry pie. There’s something that feels extra fancy about hitting someone with a strawberry pie.

I have a couple of potential plans! There’s the one I really want to happen, the one that would be awesome if it happened, and the one that would be pretty nice if it happened. So between the three I’m pretty well covered. 2022 here we come!

So they could be spell reagents, or snacks like other people have suggested. I like to think that everyone’s magic is just a little bit different though, and while most Mages portals are pretty similar, for some reason the Kul Tiran ones leave everyone who steps through one feeling a bit damp, and there are occasional sea creatures that hitchhike along for the ride.

Today’s Anna Earworm™: Cold As Ice
