The Queue: Anyone hungry?

I don’t know how many of y’all remember this particular JINX! shirt, but it’s nearly as old as WoW itself, and I only recently (while writing this) put two and two together and realized Blizz added an actual Murloco NPC who sells “fish” tacos back in 8.2. And even if fish (or “fish”) isn’t my thing, today’s the kind of day where the U.S. finds an excuse to eat tacos and drink tequila, so I’m still very much craving tacos.

But that’s neither here nor there. Here is The Queue, and The Queue is….NOW!

RETPALLYJIL WANTS TO KNOW “WHY?!”

Q4tQ: So … why “Heroism/Bloodlust at 30%” ? Why 30? This is one of those “… but were afraid to ask” questions. There has to be some reason to it.

Y’know, I haven’t really thought about this in a while, but I imagine it’s a holdover from back in the day when Execute phases were a huge factor in taking the boss down, and timing Lust with Execute was key to getting the boss down. (Don’t get me wrong, it’s still an ideal combo today, but I think it was more of a “must” back in classic and BC.)

Of course, at the end of the day, it all comes down to making the most use out of Lust. Some bosses, you pop it right at the start because you won’t have everyone alive by the end. Others, you hold for the “takes more damage” phase. In many cases, I think 30% just happens to be the most ideal timing.

ARTHONOS WANTS ME TO MAKE A TOUGH CHOICE:

Q4tQ: Which game would you rather win beta access to: Warcraft Arclight Rumble or Octopath Traveler Champions of the Continent? Adversely, if you hate mobile games, which of the two would you find more tolerable if forced to play?

I don’t hate mobile games by any mean; but it’s also hard not to feel like they’d all feel way better with a larger screen or controllers or something (i.e., on the Switch). I know I can get attachments to mimic that, but I don’t play mobile games enough to justify it, and, well, here I am. I play mobile games occasionally but not much more than that.

So to your question… I actually know noidea what the Octopath one is, but my assumption (please correct me if wrong) is that it would be more complex than WAR, which would also make it less likely for me to be something I pick up. If I can play a mobile title for short stints at a time (which I suspect I’ll be able to do with WAR), that’s ideal. Soooo… WAR gets this one.

MUSEDMOOSE HAS A RELATED QUESTION:

Q4tQ: now that we know what Warcraft Acrlight Rumble is, are you going to play it?

I’m definitely going to give it a shot. I’ve never been big on phone games, but it reminds me of the Fort Condor minigame from FFVII Remake Integrade, and I liked that one. I’m also glad it has a story mode, otherwise I probably wouldn’t be interested, as just leveling up troops isn’t enough to keep me playing a game. Also it just plain looks kind of ridiculous, in a good way.

I’m sure I’m going to play it and become hooked on it much more than I’d ever like or hope to be. But I’ll have fun in the meantime!

For real, though, I’m absolutely gonna try it, and if Blizz makes it easy enough to pick up and put down at will, that’s probably all I’ll need to be hooked. I’m expecting a mobile game with all of Blizzard’s polish, and given the style seems to be fun/chaotic rather than serious, I’m sure it’s going to be a win.

⛨ KRALD BRINGS BACK AN OLDIE:

Two Bosses Enter: Legion Seagull’s vs. Zereth Mortis Raptora

Fully admitting I don’t know what the Raptora is or looks like, I’m still giving this to the seagulls. You cannot beat the seagulls.

ARTHONOS MUSES ON PRODUCTS:

I finally found a comfy computer chair to replace the one I’ve been using for 16 years and is falling apart, and oddly enough it was the cheapest one in the store. All the expensive ergonomic and gamer chairs didn’t feel as good on my back as this little one.

Q4tQ: Anyone else find it funny when the “worst” of a product line actually is the best?

I’m not sure “funny” is the right word, but I totally get what you mean. I think over time, I’ve learned more and more that, as long as something works and you like it, who cares where it’s from or what it cost? I mean, yes, I’m certainly prone to buying fancy things because it feels nice, but at the end of the day, you do you. Expensive, inexpensive, top-shelf, bottom-shelf — if it works for you, it works for you!

SPENCER MORGAN IS GREEN WITH ENVY (BUT NOT FIRE):

Q4tQ? Why is green fire still not account wide?

Quite likely it’s just something the devs haven’t had front of mind to really change. I wouldn’t really complain to see it account-wide, but I do also see the appeal of attempting the challenge on a different character each time. I think the ideal would be to make it account-wide but then let you consume a Grimoire or whatever to attempt the fight again. If you really want to still make it feel exclusive, make it account-wide but limit its usage to level 30+ or something.

That’s our Queue for today! I hope you all have a good Thursday, and don’t forget to leave lots of questions!

Also, tell me what kind of tacos you like.
