What new character customization options are you still hoping to see added in Dragonflight?
It is hard to overstate the sheer variety of options you have in character creation when making a Dracthyr Evoker in Dragonflight. Between the Visage form and the Draconic form, you’re looking at a great many of them — horns, scales, scale patterns, scale markings, scale color, body size (with four options from skinny to bulky), and a lot more. I have spent literally fifty minutes making a Dracthyr purely for the fun of trying out as many of the options as possible.
And this of course has me looking at other races and thinking, “Everybody else needs a glow up, stat!”
I’m not saying every race needs as many options as the Dracthyr. But between their forms, Dracthyr have ten panes of options. Compare this to the Worgen (only one pane for their Worgen form, and two for their Human form) or the Nightborne (three) or even the Void Elves (only one pane total) or Mag’har Orcs (only one pane) and it starts to feel ridiculous how many more options they get. Again, I’m not saying they shouldn’t! I think the Dracthyr really need a lot of these options because it doesn’t feel like their armor is going to show on them.
But I really think we could use more options for everybody else. The body size options alone make me ridiculously jealous — why can’t we add heft to our Human or Orc Warriors or choose a skinny frame for our Tauren Priest or Draenei Mage? The sheer variety of color palettes and patterns for the Dracthyr creates deep envy in me.
Now, I loved what we got in Shadowlands for character customization, but like I said at the time, I’m greedy for more and seeing what the Dracthyr can get up to has me daydreaming about stealing some of these options. So let me ask you — what would you like to see in new customization? Do you even care? What should we take from the Dracthyr for everybody else?
