The Queue: Tour gasping
It’s been a minute since I ran Torghast — by which I mean, I don’t think I’ve run it since 9.0. While clearing my quest log last night, I decided to finally check it out and get rid of whatever quest wanted me to do The Jailer’s Gauntlet. It was fun! I mean, it was still Torghast, but it was nice and to the point, which I appreciated. I just made it through Layer 2, too, so I’m gonna give Layer 3 the ol’ college try here shortly.
In the meantime, it’s Queue time.
Apparently Mitch Trubisky is starting to be known as Money Mitch in Pittsburgh, so what does that make our Mitch?
Y’all had some good suggestions in the comments, but I did enjoy “Mitten Mitch” quite a bit (since, y’know, Michigan). The First Mitch is also one I’m partial to. But I’ll leave the rest of the nicknames to y’all (just be kind; I’m fragile).
Also, bonus points to Eno and Roxxi for managing to turn The Ancient Mitch into a joke about being 30 :’)
QftQ: I’ve looked but not really found an answer so I hope you can help! Any idea when they’ll make the Dracthyr live? Or, do you think we’ll have to wait for the expac to drop?
So while it hasn’t exactly been explained super clearly, it does look like Dracthyr will at least be playable as part of the pre-patch, which is expected to last ~2 weeks. Granted, you’ll probably have to have pre-ordered the expansion in order for them to unlock, but I would expect it to be pretty similar to Demon Hunters.
Q4tQ: How much damage are you willing to sacrifice in terms of playstyle preference? I’m playing around with the Dragonflight talent calculator, and I keep avoiding all of these short stacking buff talents, like Thrill of the Hunt for BM Hunters or Blaster Master for Fire Mages. If it is like a 2% damage loss I’m comfortable taking that hit for the sake of enjoyment, but if I was giving up 10% extra damage then I’d reluctantly take the time to learn that playstyle.
This is a little harder for me to answer, since Shadow has never exactly had specs the way other DPS classes do, so the playstyle differences have always been more minor in comparison.
That said, I still usually try to min/max for group content, so the talents I’ll usually swap out from the “norm” are utility ones (e.g., I like Intangibility over Body and Soul because it gives me a defensive that heals a lot vs. the more regular speed boost from the latter).
For solo play, I just go with what feels fun. Typically, it overlaps with the recommended choices anyhow, but it’s something I don’t really consider when picking talents; I don’t usually look to other Priests to see what they’re leveling outside of maybe once to see if my preferences are waaaaay off or not.
If I had to give it a number, I’d say, yeah, 2% for a more fun playstyle is worth it. 5% would probably be my limit — but again, it all kinda depends on the scenario.
QfMitch: As the Yogg-whisperer, could you offer some tips on the proper care and feeding of juvenile incarnations of Old Gods. An illustrative screenshot, previously posted, is attached.
Yes, as pointed out, they do need souls! But they also do need love and head pats pretty often in the early stages. They need to know they’re a good Void being yes they are!
If it’s been good, remove some of your own flesh and feed it as a treat! ^_^

Q4tQ:
Honestly, I’d never thought about it this way!
Q4TQ: Is there a way to kick someone out of a custom channel? We have someone who is no longer in our guild but still in our guild healer channel
It depends on who the channel owner is, but I know there are definitely chat commands out there to get the job done. If they happen to be channel owner, I think all you need to do is wait for ’em to log off and then see who the new owner is so they can remove the person from the chat.
Well, I’m out of questions but to complete the theme: Floors 7 and 8 both went great, and I’m not even gonna be late!
