What do you still need to accomplish before Dragonflight patch 10.1 arrives on May 2?

I’m not going to lie — I was absolutely floored when the World of Warcraft team announced yesterday that Dragonflight patch 10.1 would be arriving on May 2, a good three-to-four weeks before I expected it. While there’s plenty to look forward to in patch 10.1, I’m not sure I’m ready to head underground to Zaralek Cavern yet especially when we’ve had less than a fortnight to explore the Forbidden Reach.

For one thing, I still haven’t completed the LFR appearance of the Hunter armor from the Vault of the Incarnates raid, despite running several characters through it. Of course, I’ve already decided that if I don’t get what I need from the Great Vault today that I’ll have to wait for the Dragonflight-equivalent of Fated Raids to finish it — hopefully we’ll have Personal Loot restored to us by then. Fortunately I’ve already gotten the Normal appearance via the Revival Catalyst and have used the Untapped Forbidden Knowledge from patch 10.0.7 to gain the Heroic appearance. Still, I would’ve liked to have gotten the LFR appearance completed already, as that’s typically the hardest to get during future expansions until they’ve been considerably nerfed.

There’s also the patch 10.0.7 content that’s still to be experienced. There are still more Zskera Vaults to explore and “the Forbidden” title to earn. While I probably have more BOA Primalist armor pieces than I know what to do with, I’d still like to pick up some more Untapped Forbidden Knowledge in the hope they’ll become BOA and available to send to alts in the future.

The final thing I had planned to spend my time on the next few weeks is the Turbulent Timeways event, with all that Timewalking being a perfect time to finish up collecting mounts and leveling alts. Now, however, I may have to scale back my plans simply so I can be sure I’m ready for patch 10.1 on May 2. It’s also interesting that they’re not waiting for this even to end before the patch comes out — you’ll be able to Timewalk to Northrend Dungeons the same time you’re exploring the Zaralek Cavern.

What about you? Do you still have incomplete goals in the Dragon Isles? Are you still working on getting “Ahead of the Curve” in Vault of the Incarnates, or trying to get Keystone Master or Hero? Or are you ready to leave the surface world behind for patch 10.1?
