Dragonflight patch 10.1 launches today! Are the WoW servers up yet? YES!
World of Warcraft players can dive into Dragonflight patch 10.1, the Embers of Neltharion, which launched today. Maintenance ended earlier than expected!
So, are the WoW servers up yet? Yes! Players can now venture into Zaralek Cavern, a new subterranean zone that has been designed to accommodate dragonriding, where players can acquire new dragon glyphs to learn new aerial skills and a brand new mount. The zone introduces a new renown faction, the mole-like Niffen, who give access to new rewards and activities such as snail racing! The patch also features the debut of cross-faction guilds, allowing players to group together for instanced content with their real-life friends, whether Alliance or Horde.
Zaralek Caven is home to Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible, the setting for the expansion’s newest raid. Long-hidden away from the sunlit world of Azeroth, Aberrus is the secret laboratory of Neltharion, locked away thousands of years ago. A nine-boss raid, Aberrus pits the players against the Sundered Flame, a rebel Dracthyr sect led by Scalecommander Sarkareth, and the mad experiments of Deathwing himself.
Looking for more open world activities? The new Fyrakk Assaults will turn up the heat as the hot-headed Primal Incarnate, newly empowered with shadowflame, threatens the Dragon Isles, providing players the chance to earn an achievement harking all the way back to Cataclysm. There are several quality of life changes being implemented including user interface improvements, more class balance changes, the updating of heirloom gear to level 70, and more.
See our patch 10.1 coverage for more details. Check back later today for news about the maintenance status and whether it’s time to dive into all the new content!
