The Queue: Used to Pierce the Veil

Hello and happy Wednesday, Queuemans! I hope you all had a lovely weekend and continue to have an enjoyable week. I took a mini-vacation full of choices equally great and terrible, capped off with a combination Pierce the Veil/The Used concert. It was rad.

And if you’re not having a good week? Maybe I have something that will help:

The Queue

GLOWING METEOR CARROT STARTS US OFF ON A GREAT NOTE:

Q4Q: Have you put pineapple in your spaghetti?

To my knowledge, I have not — but don’t confuse that with a lack of desire to. I absolutely will. Better yet, why not make a deep dish pizza filled with spaghetti and topped with pineapple? Best of all worlds? I think so.

I’ll take my Michelin Star now.

FALRINN PROBABLY SHOULDN’T HAVE THAT PIZZA I CREATED BUT IS KICKING BUTT!

Yay, I’ve reached my weight loss goal!

It was only 10 lbs and it took me 2 months, but given the timeframe I had in mind was “before my next primary care appointment” which isn’t for another 4 months, I technically achieved it 3 times faster then what my plan called for.

Now I still have to keep it off, but that should be doable.

Heck yeah! :D

This is one of those comments I love to highlight because this kind of stuff can be hard. And it deserves to be celebrated! So congrats, Falrinn! 🥳

FUZZYBUNNY9 OPENED THE FLOODGATES:

Are there enough questions in this Queue?

Well, there were an okay amount… and then Red entered the picture.

RED BRINGS THE AFOREIMPLIED FLOOD:

2BE: zombies vs. ghosts

Ghosts. There’s a lot more fun to be had with ghosts, and you can certainly still manage to get the same pathos that zombie scenarios can elicit when they pull the whole “BUT I CAN’T KILL A LOVED ONE” thing that zombie entertainment almost always inevitably pulls.

THE RED FLOOD CONTINUES:

Q4TQ: if you’re playing Diablo 4, what level are you, and how do you feel about your progress so far?

Q4TQ: 2023 has a LOT of big game releases, and plenty of small ones too. Which games are you looking forward to the most this year?

D4: GF and I just hit uhhh… 37? Something like that. We both just unlocked our Super Ultimate Passives and then got one more level after that once we finished Act 2. I’d love to have played and progressed further, but life has been busy and I’m just grateful for an excellent couch co-op game again. But I’m excited for whenever we do get a chance to play endlessly and knock out the campaign.

2023: Melts into puddle

I genuinely think that I already have enough games from this year alone that can keep me busy to year’s end, especially with FFXVI coming out this weekend. So the thought of more games is both exciting and also kind of… well, it makes a part of me die for a quick second, because I don’t think I’ll ever get my own Year of the Backlog™ moment.

That said, Hades 2. Absolutely Hades 2 (assuming it releases in full this year).

IT’S STILL RED BUT I REGRET CALLING IT THE RED FLOOD IN THE LAST QUESTION:

Q4TQ: how many friends do you have on your Battle.net friends list? Will the increased cap do anything for you?

Q4TQ: what’s the highest “this person has been offline for X years” you have on your Battle.net friends list?

111, and I need to clear a lot of them. It’s overwhelming (but I also need to leave myself better notes).

Some folks don’t have a time shown, but 9 years is my highest shown.

ENO TAKES US AWAY FROM THE CRIMSON INUNDATION™:

QftQ: If Augmentation Evokers work as a hybrid support-DPS spec, do you foresee it being a precursor to new classes like bards and tinkers with similar playstyles?

I sure hope so! But “precursor” to me could mean two expansions and several years from now.

That said, I’d also love to see specs that lean into this more so than full on new classes. Augmentation takes concepts from BC-era Shadow and mana return, and frankly, that’s one of my favorite eras of Shadow — though, Dragonflight is pretty fantastic — so I’d be ecstatic to see Shadow given another spec that plays more like that.

You all know me, though — I’ve wanted to see Shadow split into multiple specs for years now. I hope this gives Blizz an excuse to do just that.

KALCHEUS CLOSES US OUT WITH A TWOFER:

Q4tQ Should Time Rifts be used to get us event-specific cosmetics? For example, stopping the Infinite Dragonflight from preventing Staghelm and Alysra from joining Ragnaros earns the flame scorpion form for Guardian Druids.

Q4tQ Should Shaman get Ghost Wolf customization in the Barber Shop?

Eh, sure, why not? That sounds fun and I love cosmetic rewards.

Ghost Wolf in the Barber Shop… I think I’d prefer it be something more like the ability to change their manes and adjust the tail or something, but I wouldn’t want it to be, say, switching between Ghost Wolf and Ghost Raptor.

That’s us for today! Thanks for the deluge of questions, and be sure to give the same treatment to tomorrow’s writer. Until next time!
