The Queue: Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated

Sure I was supposed to be here last week, but there’s nothing sinister going on! Liz certainly hasn’t taken a trip up to Canada to kidnap me and lock me in a basement somewhere to write articles or anything…

While I learn how to hide secret messages in my posts, it’s time for — The Queue!

There can be only one!

Or to use a more recent reference, maybe Liz is just really into everything bagels.

I know that there’s no way that Liz wants to replace all of the writers herself, that’s way too much work. So maybe she really is trying to collapse us all down into a singularity so that she doesn’t have to do it…

1. We need the quick change of direction barrel roll! We launch forward, do a rolling climb until we’re pointed in the direction we came from, and then as we pass our initial point the camera whips around to follow our new path. I’d also like something that could be a five or ten-minute cooldown — modified by killing things — that just refills your whole vigor bar. There should also be something that lets me land in a way that taunts every nearby creature onto me. That’d really save some time gathering things up as a tank!
2. They seem to be alright so far. There’s not a lot to them, but they don’t feel as annoying to have to wait for as the other world content that we’ve gotten so far in Dragonflight — lookin at you soup! I’m also digging that their rewards are coming fairly quickly. I’ve done three of them so far and picked up enough flakes and rewards to have gotten a few of the neater transmog weapons from the vendors, as well as the Ragnaros shoulders! I’m going to purge so many things with fire!
3. Animation seems like it could’ve been a pretty fun industry to get into. I don’t know if I have the patience for it right now, but Cory from 15 years ago might’ve been able to make a good go of it. Y’know if he wasn’t busy being a dummy.

I had a nice big bowl of spicy mac and cheese with avocado and hot dogs and fried onions, so pretty good! Raid was a lot of wiping, we’re on the Forgotten Experiments on Mythic now and oh boy are there some rough overlaps as the next boss in line jumps down at 50% left on the previous boss. So you have to be able to handle two sets of their abilities at once. Lots of chaotic things happening and we’ve only gotten to one boss left a couple of times.

I also watched the newest Batman movie today. I… don’t think that it needed to be three hours.

I want Symbiosis back!

Maybe the community is mature enough to handle it now… After all, we’ve got the Augmentation Evokers who are extremely well-received and certainly not getting kicked from groups because they don’t show up nicely on meters…

Joking aside about how good the community is at handling collaborative things that aren’t necessarily obvious, I do think that we could see some good combos with a returned Symbiosis. As long as they didn’t do something silly like give Retribution Paladins Wrath again, a hard-casted ranged spell wasn’t what I was looking for back then. I also got Symbiosis’d a lot since the Druids wanted Divine Shield.

I also really love the animation for the Tauren kick animations. It’s just kicking someone’s shins!

I think the problem is that none of them stick around in Visage form when they die. It’s essentially just a really sophisticated illusion (what are they hiding) so I don’t think that there’s actually any difference in what you’d get meat-wise. Even if you captured a live dragon in visage form and chopped off an arm it should just turn back into a regular dragon arm.

So pork is definitely out. Crocodiles might be a good guess, but I do like the thought that they taste like chicken. Either way, I bet that you’d have to do all sorts of nonsense to it before it’s anything that would approach cookable meat. They’re probably so tough and gamey, not to mention all that work you’ve gotta do to descale them. Still though, I’d try it at least once…
