What games got you through your own personal quarantines?
After three-and-some odd years, I have finally caught Covid. So far it is extremely the opposite of good, and I’m looking at a 14-day quarantine here. And while I currently have quite a few games on the boil, I do anticipate needing new things to keep me distracted.
This led me to thinking about you all, and it occurred to me that while there are certainly holes in my gaming experience — genres I haven’t played much, games I didn’t even know existed, and games involving freezing to death in the woods. (In particular, I don’t understand why I should play one of those freezy-death games when I live in Edmonton, land of the six-month winter.) Therefore, I resolved to turn to you — while I’m stranded here in my office, what games would you recommend I give a shot? Consider no game off the table here! As long as you like it, I want to hear why you think I should play it.
Boyfriend Dungeon? I have ignored it thus far, but if you have a hankering for games about magic weapons that you can date, then by all means, explain to me why I should give it a shot. But it can be a game that’s more widely known, like Hearthstone or Paleo Pines — the important thing here isn’t for people to tell me about games I haven’t heard of, it’s for you guys to tell me why you like a certain game and why you think I should play it.
