What’s your favorite Warcraft Rumble mini?

There are a lot of different minis to play with in Warcraft RumbleAsking anyone to look at the over 60 different units and asking them to pick just one as their favorite is next to impossible, but that’s just what I’m going to do. I know that I have my favorite one, and it’s not even close — The Night Elf Huntress is just objectively the best! At least I think so.

It’s not even that she feels like one of the most powerful units out there — though that doesn’t hurt. Elven cavalry mounted on giant jungle cats has always been one of those outstanding visuals that have sustained the fantasy genre for years. Combine that with the ever-iconic looking glaive they wield and you’ve got a surefire recipe for success. Blizzard really knocked it out of the park when they designed the Night Elves.

Of course, the actual performance of the Night Elven Huntress is superb. That glaive will bounce around between three units, or six(!) if you’ve talented it — and that’s both air and land units! That’s a recipe for clearing out entire waves of enemy units coming at you. Combine that with the fast speed that being mounted on a panther brings you and you’ve got a mini that can reinforce quickly, or jump out of the gate and secure you a meeting stone early.

I don’t think I’d have gotten nearly as far in my Rumble playing without the Huntress by my side. Sure there have been other units that I’ve been briefly enamored with. The Worgen assassin is great for clearing out those pesky Flamewalkers, and who can say no to dropping a whole Skeleton Party on an unsuspecting tower.

Yet, I still keep coming back to the Huntress. She’s just too good. That being said, it’s a very narrow victory because at the end of the day I just love all of the personality that each of these minis are chock full of.

What are your favorite units? Do you prioritize performance or flavor when you’re building your armies? Is there anything as satisfying as watching a Blackrock Pyromancer roast a whole flock of chickens with a single fireball?
