The Queue: I hope I remember to save this time

I wish I could explain how bad it feels to spend an hour or two combing through the Queue, our Discord, and emails to grab a bunch of questions, spend another hour or so answering them, and then lose all of that work because my thumb slipped or I hit the wrong key because I’m blind and can’t see the darn things. It’s bad, guys. I forgot to talk about Babylon 5 last week, that’s how upset I was.

Anyway, here’s the Queue. If I screw this one up I’m gonna punch myself. Might just punch myself anyway, I have it coming.

ADVANCED ROXXII AND STORM RIDERS

Q4TQ: Is it possible to dig so deep that you accidentally dig into Deepholm? Asking for some corrupt townsfolk in the Badlands.

Usually no, as the World Pillar in Deepholm keeps the prison plane of Deepholm from entering Azeroth or vice versa. Deepholm is not actually inside Azeroth, it’s in a pocket dimension, but when Deathwing destroyed the World Pillar he was able to bridge the gulf between Azeroth and Deepholm and re-enter our world via the Maelstrom.

So in order to dig to Deepholm, you’d need to somehow disable the World Pillar, and then wait for Azeroth to start collapsing into Deepholm as the barriers separating the planes fell apart. Of course, then Azeroth would eventually be destroyed, so it might not be the best way to get there.

ARTHONOS 2ND EDITION

Q4tQ: What the deal with Blizzard promotions only adding pets to Classic? I’m not against Classic having exclusive rewards, but it feels like such a missed opportunity not to add the pet to both versions of the game, especially with Modern WoW having pet battles.

Are we talking about the Arborwing and Cypress?

Honestly I think a part of it is that they don’t think they can get the mounts into Wrath Classic and thus they don’t want to have retail WoW have a lot more stuff and all the stuff Wrath Classic has. Plus I think Cypress is supposed to be the baby version of the Arborwing, so essentially it grew up and now you can ride on its back. These are just theories, though.

SJHAWK 3.5

I just had a thought. The next expansion is in fact going to be the legendary “The Dark Below”.

It’s not legendary, it’s a white text/common item and I doubt we’re getting an entire expansion of us being hammered on rotgut. Although it would explain why the Horde needed Dwarves/Earthen, they needed somebody who could actually drink.

MUSEDMOOSE REMASTERED

After reading all this, I’m now wondering if Red has ever thought about joining the Lore Watch crew for an episode or two. We don’t usually get a lore drop like that first answer unless it’s a Rossi Queue. {◕ ◡ ◕}

Red, do you want to be on Lore Watch?

JABRONE THE EXPERT SET

Finally got my Valdrakken rep to 23 and can now tame lesser dragon kin.

After learning how limited what you can tame actually is, do you hunters out there think it was worth it?
I can’t understand why Blizzard decided to put that so far back in the rep grind. If you could tame a wider variety I could understand.
Just my opinion, but this could’ve been just as rewarding at rank 10/15 as it was at 23.

I stopped grinding the rep on my Hunter around level 10. But now I feel like maybe I shouldn’t have? I mean, you can get Dream Darters/Fey Darters, Veilwings and Hornswogs. I feel like they should have included Cloud Serpents in the Valdrakken repy, but then again, I also think we should see Cloud Serpents on the Dragon Isles so maybe I’m out of touch here.

I do however think they should include more in this category. Like, maybe change it from lesser dragonkin to simply dragonkin and make it not taming so much as befriending so you could get actual drakes and proto drakes as your boon companion instead of calling a sapient dragon a ‘pet’.

ARMENIUS REVISED

Heads up that Dungeons and Dragons Online (DDO for the cool cats) is doing its now yearly apparently coupon.

FREEDDO2024 in the storefront will get you a lot of content, and I would recommend punching that in while it’s valid if you have even a remote interest in ever checking out the game.

I had forgotten that DDO was still a thing, I guess I thought that the Neverwinter MMO had eaten it. I mean, if you google the words Dungeons and Dragons Online then you’ll see that DDO ends up like the fourth result behind Roll20 and D&D Beyond.

What’s sad is, I really like the Eberron campaign setting and since almost all other D&D games, like Baldur’s Gate 3, are set in the really boring setting of Faerun/The Forgotten Realms (I can see why they’re forgotten, they are bog standard and tedious in my eyes) I’m sad that DDO didn’t do better. Still, it’s been around for over a decade and it has a bunch of expansions, including one released in 2023, so there’s obviously enough people playing to keep it worthwhile to develop.

Seriously though Faerun is the most vanilla of D&D‘s various settings/worlds. It’s fine, it does the job, but man couldn’t we get sprinkles or some chocolate syrup or some warforged or something?
