How to get the Lunar Festival Armor for your Winding Slitherdrake

It’s the Lunar Festival in World of Warcraft and your Dragonriding mount is ready to enjoy the festivities with their own special Lunar Festival Armor. Even thought Lunar Festival lasts for a couple weeks and there is a currency for the event, unlike the Winter Veil Armor it can be purchased with gold. Just head to any of the Lunar Festival camps in a faction capital city or Moonglade; once there you can purchase the Winding Slitherdrake: Lunar Festival Armor from any Lunar Festival Vendor for 50,000 gold.

There was some concern that this would not be an easy mount to procure, with both a currency and a (frequently overlooked) holiday boss present during the Lunar Festival. Fortunately you will not need to gather Coins of Ancestry — although it’s a lot faster this year with Dragonriding now available everywhere — or worry about summoning and defeating Omen. Perhaps next year if the Lunar Festival gets a refresh they’ll transform Omen into a worthwhile boss, but for now you can rest assured that this holiday armor only requires you to spend some gold to acquire.

The Lunar Festival Armor is account-wide so you only need to purchase and learn it once, although it’s important to note that the only Dragonriding mount that can equip it is the Winding Slitherdrake — if you were hoping to honor the ancestors on your Renewed Proto-Drake or the Flourishing Whimsydrake which arrived in patch 10.2 you’re sadly out of luck. To switch to this armor appearance head to your nearest Rostum of Transformation, select the Winding Slitherdrake’s body customizations, make sure Armor is on and select the Lunar Festival Armor.

Even though it’s only available to purchase during the festival, the Lunar Festival Armor can be equipped on your Winding Slitherdrake for the entire year. So be sure to procure some gold and head to a Lunar Festival camp to ensure you can respect the Elders while cruising throughout the world on your Dragonriding mount.
