When does WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria end? The alpha calendar points to August 19!

World of Warcraft patch 10.2.7 is delivering some timerunning shenangans, chock full of Pandamonium, in the form of WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. Yes, we get to relive our adventures on the Wandering Isle instead of weathering a content drought with repeated runs of Awakened raids. Sadly, nothing perfect can stay, and even remixes have to end eventually. Now that The War Within‘s alpha is live — and includes a calendar of events — we believe that WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria ends on August 19, 2024.

We learned of WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria back in December 2023 with the release of WoW’s 2024 roadmap. Executive Producer Holly Longdale referred to the mysterious entries on the roadmap — WoW Remix (labeled Timerunning: Pandamonium) and the mysterious black pirate flag of patch 10.2.6 — as “a few new twists” coming with Dragonflight Season 4. Definitely an understatement.

Since WoW Remix is part of patch 10.2.7, we can estimate dates from there: patch 10.2.7 launches on May 7, with the new WoW Remix mode starting a week and a half later on May 16. Now, thanks to the in-game event calendar in The War Within’s alpha, we have a clear potential date range: the alpha calendar shows WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria running until August 19, which would give us three whole months of playing through Mists of Pandaria‘s beloved dungeons, raids, and storyline. But remember, this date comes from the The War Within alpha client, and anything in alpha can change: nothing is set in stone until we get a formal announcement of the WoW Remix end date.

Regardless, returning to a beloved expansion on a new alt sounds like a lot more fun than players getting antsy for The War Within’s pre-patch than running Awakened raids over and over. So spin up a shiny new level 10 alt and use this period to blast your way through Mists of Pandaria‘s content. And you’ll have three months on the Wandering Isle, with WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria closing August 19, 2024.
