The Queue: Persuasive

I’m not saying that Xal’atath has everything figured out, I’m just saying that maybe they’ve got some good ideas and maybe we should give them a chance. I mean it’s not like the world is ending or anything, what’s the worst that could happen?

While I subscribe to their newsletter, it’s time for — The Queue!

Fyrakk is the winner in my books here. I love it when we get a fun raspy-voiced thin villain. He also benefits from having the most air time of the other bosses.

I also liked his fight the most. DJ Razzy G’s went on too long, and we could’ve lost the second add transition before the final platform. Especially since it comes right as she brings the vault’s health to zero, why are we fighting more storm elementals? That could’ve been at least a fun little mini-elemental council-style moment as cracks in the other vaults let a fire, earth, and frost elemental out for us to deal with.

Sarky was fine, both as a villain and an encounter. He would’ve benefitted more from a clearer endgame, and maybe a more tragic outcome. Give him some truly noble intentions that blind him to the realities of delving into Neltharion’s treasure chest. I know we get a bit of that, but I want it writ large in that final cinematic, and all of the lead-up to the raid.

Pizza wins this one every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

In my life I have had a handful of calzones, maybe even two handfuls — and the amount of misses outweighs the truly good ones. I think I like the idea of a calzone more than the reality of them. Granted, it’s been a hot minute since I had one, but from what I remember they were just too dry. The sauce-to-topping-to-crust ratio is what helps to separate an excellent pizza from a merely ok one, and I’ve never had a calzone that has managed to get it right.

Maybe someday I’ll have a life-changing one, but as it stands pizza is the clear winner.

(Pizza Pops are their own thing, and deserved to be baked in the oven for maximum enjoyability.)

The Troll and Draenei armors are both misses in my books. Neither one of them really make me feel the same way that the Zandalari, Mag’har, and Nightborne sets did. I worked my butt off leveling my Nightborne Priest to get that armor available to it as soon as possible!

These new ones are just missing something. I feel like the Draenei set needs something a bit shinier to match the crystal vibes that they’ve had so much in the past. While I just don’t think that the Troll face mask works as well in-game as it would on a static piece of art.

I love seeing everybody’s weird butterfly-wing looks! However, the best look for these new wings is definitely the Monarch from The Venture Brothers that Rob Flanagan put together for us! I always love it when you can tweak things to be just right and make a character from some other media.

I’m sorry, but if you want your excellent loot luck this week you’ll have to boop Bacardi and also wish the Oilers well as they head into the next round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. I wish it wasn’t that way, but I don’t make the rules here — he just really loves the Oilers!
