What cuisine is coming from World of Warcraft’s Worldsoul Saga?

From vanilla World of Warcraft to the Dragon Isles and beyond, few things have remained such a consistent companion as the foods of Azeroth. After all, we have to eat if we want those delicious stat increases. But some expansions have definitely led us down the culinary road to disaster. So what foods do you think our unsuspecting characters have to consume in the name of buffs?

It’s probably important to note that this will have minor spoilers for The War Within as I mention specific Cooking profession recipes. If you would rather not know about foods added in the coming expansion, no worries. Here is a kitty — doesn’t Bacardi look majestic despite the heat?

Still here? Awesome.

We know at least some of the foods coming in The War Within from beta testing. Some of the food is thematically appropriate to our underground explorations, like Mycobloom Risotto or  Stuffed Cave Peppers. Others, like Hallowfall Chili and Fish and Chips are positively mundane. But I’m not looking forward to a Melted Candlebar — what am I, a kobold?

Midnight is where I think things will get interesting; we’ll be based in the current lands of Azeroth, fighting alongside the various Elven races against the Void as it tries to take over the Sunwell. This has some real potential from integrations of Night Elf, Blood/Void Elf, and Nightborne cuisines under the boughs of Bel’Ameth. We could see the return of anything from Suramar Surf and Turf to Kal’dorei Spider Kabobs. Personally, I think we’ll get some truly unique combinations as the Elves of Azeroth begin to truly collaborate — imagine a Bel’Ameth Fruit salad combining berries from all three regions — Suramar, the Emerald Dream, and Silvermoon.

Last, but certainly not least — The Last Titan. We’re returning to Northrend, land of stews and chowder. After two expansions of chaos, our characters will likely need similarly fortifying foods. The Kalu’ak Tuskarr haven’t just been sitting idle all these years — imagine they finally meet up with their long-lost Iskaaran kindred! Perhaps they’ve come up with a new, filling concoction from ice-fishing in the seas surrounding Northrend and the fishing holes of the Azure Span, combining Glacial Salmon and Frosted Icefin Tuna into a Tuskar poke bowl.

So tell me — what delectable dishes or infuriating food crimes do you think we could get during The Worldsoul Saga? Share your thoughts in the comments, and let’s hope it’s not another Pickled Meat Smoothie.
