The Queue: Blizzard Watch (again)
If I had a nickel for every time it snowed in the southeast this year I’d have two nickels, which is a worrying amount of nickels? I mean, not ten cents worth, but the number is a lot? I feel like I might be stretching this metaphor a bit too far, but the kids are home from school as a precaution so the half a brain cell I have left is hanging on for dear life.
This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us the questions and we’ll answer from under a pile of blankets, just as soon as we remember where– ah, there’s my coffee. Let’s go.
Q4tQ: If you have to go out in the snow to shovel, clean off the cars, snowblow, etc., do you opt to play in it when you are done because you are outside anyway?
Where I live it snows so rarely it’s usually an event. Even if it snows I generally don’t have to shovel it, so it’s all fun.
And yes, I absolutely play in it. Last week I built a snowman and sledded down a hill and threw snowballs and forced my kids to make snow angels with me. Childlike whimsy is hard work, man.
Q4tQ:
Can you believe it’s been five years since Anne ascended to BlizzardWorld?
No, but to be fair, in my head I haven’t made it all the way to 2021. But still, I’m so proud of her for living her dream and making it happen. And that sword is cool as heck.
Q4tQ Do you have a favorite gaming collectible?
In games, I’ll always collect a pet. Mount skins are fine, but I go feral for weird lil guys following me around everywhere.
IRL, I generally don’t go in for gaming-related merch unless it’s useful in some other way. I have a bunch of gaming shirts because usually, when games get a few years out they’re trying to unload graphic tees for cheap, and I gotta have hangings to decorate the ol’ flesh prison. I have one (1) Funko Pop, and I got a couple of those Overwatch blind bag keychains when I ordered t-shirts in the past, but I’m really not one for statuettes and action figures and plushies and objects d’art. Just more clutter to dust. And I already have a LOT of clutter to dust.
Q4tQ: When devouring gingerbread men, which limb do you start with first?
The legs, so he can’t run. Obviously.
