After a long maintenance Tuesday, all WoW servers are back up, so it’s time to head to the Wandering Isle

It’s an easy maintenance week for many WoW players, as The War Within and WoW Classic both have a quick one-hour maintenance scheduled. But with the Mists of Pandaria Classic pre-patch rolling out, Cataclysm Classic servers are in for an all-day downtime.

The War Within and WoW Classic realms came online a few minutes earlier than scheduled, and Classic progression servers came online right on time with the Mists of Pandaria pre-patch. So who’s headed to the Wandering Isle with me to get ready for the full expansion launch?

Here’s the maintenance schedule for Tuesday, July 1:

• The War Within: Offline from 7am – 9am pacific (10am – 12pm eastern)
• Cataclysm Classic: Offline from 7am – 3pm pacific (10am – 6pm eastern)
• WoW Classic (including Classic Era, Season of Discovery, Anniversary, and Hardcore realms): Offline from 7am –  9am pacific (10am – 12pm eastern)

There’s a lot for players to do now that the realms come back online. With July just begun, The War Within has a lot of new collectibles to grab: a new Trading Post, the Greedy Emissary event’s tier 2 recolors, and the Collector’s Bounty buff significantly boosting drop rates of mounts and transmog from legacy raids. It has never been a better time to be a transmog hoarder … er, I mean transmog hunter.

And, of course, now that Cataclysm Classic has become Mists Classic, players can roll Monks and Pandaren characters. Modern WoW players even get a reward for finishing the Pandaren starting zone: the Shaohao’s Sage Serpent mount. While Pandaria remains locked until Mists of Pandaria Classic launches on July 21, quite a bit of new content is available starting today.

For players who need something to do during downtime — or don’t want to jump straight into WoW on patch day — the Steam Summer Sale continues through July 10 so you could always pick up a new game to check out during this maintenance. (Of course, we have some game  suggestions.)
