The Queue: Busy Busy Busy
I’ve been very busy these days — work, personal life, relatives, everything seemed to hit all at once. I’ve barely had time to play videogames! WoW has been almost completely on hold (since I do have to prioritize keeping up with Hearthstone), and despite being super close to completing 100% of the achievements on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, my progress has slowed down to a crawl.
Oh well! This is The Queue, where even writers who are super busy can still find some time to answer your questions — you’re just that special.
Q4tQ: Instead of a zebra, what animal would you have DK transform into?
I mean, I know players often joke about certain classes cannibalizing abilities from others — especially Demon Hunters taking former Warlock abilities, like Metamorphosis — but Death Knights taking shapeshifting from Druids?! That seems a bit much. The lore doesn’t even fit, at all! Why does a master of necromantic powers, clad in heavy armor, commanding Frost, Unholy, and Blood, suddenly gains the ability to turn into a ze–
Oh. Donkey Kong.
Nevermind, carry on. Beaver. The answer is beaver.
Do you think we’ll get hats with hair before we’ll get the ability to mog daggers to other 1Hs?
I don’t, no. The ability to mog daggers to other 1Hs is merely a decision, and then a simple toggle (I assume). Hair under hats would require considerably more work.
It’s been some time since we’ve had mog rules restrictions being lifted, but a while ago this was a process we were seeing a lot of. Maybe they’ll pick it up again at some point! A new expansion seems like the perfect moment for something like this.
Q4tQ When running ICC, do you clear the upper spire by starting with the Plagueworks or do you head to Sindragosa’s lair?
When I did it last week (or was it the week before last?), I went Blood Queen -> Sindy -> Putricide. Don’t ask me why. I’m just following Yogg’s Will, as a devoted believer is wont to do. Praise Yogg.
Are Rogues the worst class to level? Sure feels like it
Rogues vary a lot from expansion to expansion. In some they’re super squishy, in others they can actually hold their own well. But if you pick Assassination — and the right talents, like Leeching Poison — you can make things better. Another viable option is going Subtlety. The burst that spec gets is crazy, and you can always wait a bit on Stealth from mob to mob, before one-shotting the next one.
My personal pick for worst class to level would go to Mage. Frost is decent enough, but Arcane can be rough, and Fire is absolute torture.
My kingdom for a “Summon Arcane Construct” spell or something like that. It’s insane that a class of so many supposed smarty-pants never thought of conjuring up a tanking buddy!
Q4tQ Persona 4 Revival has a Steam and PS store page now. Are you wishlisting the game? Do you think that the page is already available foretells a release within the next year?
I sure am! (This is reality)
I sure do! (This is hopium.)
But seriously, I do think they won’t take too long to release it, despite how the first preview we got seemed like it was still a ways away from completion. My healthy dose of hopium says that they’ve got all the production experience from Persona 3 Reload, and things will go faster and smoother this time. Besides, Persona 4 probably needs fewer changes than Persona 3 did — the original game holds up better. So next year seems possible, though it’s most likely late next year.
For game remakes/remasters, how old do you think a game should be before it gets a new version? I don’t think there’s a set number, but I think at least fifteen to twenty years. Old enough that it’s not just clearly from another era but also that it looks bad on modern media.
I don’t think there’s a set number either, but I’m a bit more generous: 10 years seems “okay” for some games, chiefly those that have not aged as well as others for whatever reason. But in general, yeah, 15+ seems more realistic for most games.
Now remake Super Metroid, you cowards.
Q4TQ: can I ask a question and then answer my own question?
Guess not.

Thanks for reading “The Queue.” This has been a very merry muster, my pals. Have care, and take a good one! Wait.
