With so much going on, what are you even doing in World of Warcraft right now?

With a whole void-blasted planet full of new things to do when The War Within patch 11.2 launches in a few weeks, it’s crunch time for accomplishing all of your Season 2 goals. Add in a whole host of limited time events that are wrapping up soon, and it’s a recipe for that specific paralysis where you sit on the login screen trying to decide what to do next.

I’ve had a rather chaotic summer so far, so right now my primary goal has been to take my time and enjoy leveling a Pandaren Hunter through the Wandering Isle in Mists of Pandaria Classic. I got a late start, but unless something dramatic happens, I should be able to complete the zone and earn the Shaohao’s Sage Serpent by the time the window closes on July 30.

However leisurely I planned my Pandaren starting zone visit to be, the reality is that I’m sprinting around full-tilt because there are so many other ticking clocks right now. A busy first half of July means that I am way behind on collecting the Greedy Emissary transmog sets that I picked out (spoiler: it’s all 13 of them). Every second I spend in Undermine waiting for the next Goblin Portal to spawn is one less second I could be leveling one of the characters I’ve neglected during this expansion with the benefit of the Winds of Mysterious Fortune experience buff.

On top of that, every time I log onto a low-level character and actually play the game, my calendar reminds me that the end of July is rapidly approaching and I still haven’t had a single mount drop with the benefit of the Collector’s Bounty buff. Who cares about actually having a max-level Priest for the first time ever when I could make yet another attempt to acquire Mimiron’s Stupid Head?

Then, at the end of the day, I remember that I was actually trying to dip my toe into Mythic+ dungeons this season. Hitting the 2,000 mark for a Crimson Shreddertank seemed much more realistic back in May, but after a bit of a pause I’m slightly rusty and wondering if starting fresh in Season 3 would let me take my time on some of the other things I want to do in the next few days.

Choosing between all of these endeavors would be hard enough without time crunches, but the fact that I’ll be landing on K’aresh in a week and a half and leaving all of these goals behind (completed or not) is ratcheting up the pressure. So what are you focusing on as we inch closer to the end of these limited-time events?
