Manaforge Omega Race to World First day 3: A little Mythic raiding, as a treat

We’re into the third day of the Manaforge Omega Race to World First and we’re finally seeing some Mythic raid kills. Or at least a Mythic raid kill: World First Plexus Sentinel goes to Consequence, a US guild that describes itself as “semi-hardcore” and has never gotten a world first before. Congrats!

Since then, we’ve seen world second go to Nurfed and world third go to Crimson. A total of six guilds have killed Mythic Plexus Sentinel, so very few guilds are progressing in Mythic right now. Of course a lot of guilds are still staying out of Mythic and running splits, and we may not see Liquid, Echo, or Method make a push into Mythic for another day or two as they continue prepping with normal and heroic splits.

After killing Plexus Sentinel, guilds can go fight the moth boss Loom’ithar or the ethereal Soulbinder Naazindhri. Loom’ithar seems the simpler of these fights, so that’s where we expect guilds to start. Consequence has a best pull of 59% on Loom’ithar, but only did four pulls on the boss. Guild The Amazing Zoo is currently pulling Loom’ithar, and you can check their raider.io page for players who are streaming if you want to keep up with how the fight is going. No one else seems to be actively pulling Mythic Loom’ithar or Soulbinder, as guilds continue to prep before pushing into tougher content. Currently of the big guilds, Echo and Method have wrapped up for the day, and Liquid is continuing splits.

Over in China, Huoguo Hero has taken world ninth Heroic Dimensius and is getting ready to jump into Mythic with the rest of the race. This tier, NetEase is paying cash for Chinese guilds breaking into the top three (and more cash for a first place finish), and Huoguo finished world fourth in Liberation of Undermine and Nerub-ar Palace. If a Chinese guild is going to break into the top of the pack, Huoguo Hero’s well positioned to do so.

This isn’t the most exciting phase of the race to launch, but all of this gearing is a necessary first step towards taking down Mythic bosses. Still, I’m hoping more guilds head into Mythic soon.
