Taking a page from Greek mythology, what if the nacent Worldsouls are not baby Titans, but baby gods of a whole new generation?
The Titans and the other cosmic forces are all fighting to either control or destroy them to protect their own interests.
That’s an interesting take on it, and one that would certainly make the story spicy.
I have to be fully honest and admit that the recent spin towards a great war between cosmic forces has kinda lost me. It’s just not the kind of narrative that I enjoy. The concepts are too grandiose, the characters aren’t really “characters,” but more like archetypes with unknowable motives. I tend to prefer stories that stick to the human condition.
So if the Titans and other cosmic forces turned out to be egotistical, manipulative, and waging war for their own interests, with no clear “Good vs. Evil” dichotomy… that would certainly make things far more interesting for me, personally. So I hope you’re right, or at least leaning in the right direction!
What did you think of the Gamescom teaser for Midnight?
Not gonna lie, this mini-teaser actually made me excited — somewhat of a rarity these days when it comes to these things. For reasons like what I mentioned in the previous answer, and just how long WoW has been repeating the same formulas we’ve seen countless times, it’s rare that I still get suuuuuuper amped about new WoW content these days… but this one hits kinda different. Plus, it’s a new expansion, and new expansions are always far more exciting than new major patches for me.
I wanna see if “Midnight” will mean that the game world is literally covered in darkness! (At least during the pre-expansion event, I’d wager.) And there’s gotta be some juicy new info about Player Housing.
So yeah, this is the closest to “hyped” I’ve been about anything WoW in a bit.
How do you gear up an alt to roughly the same level as your main?
I’m trying to have an “alt main” this season, and my warrior is at 688 and kicking the hell out of most things. My evoker meanwhile is 666 (heh) and got squashed in an 8 delve, and I don’t feel like I can do dungeons with her right now and I’m just… kinda lost.
I have no idea! I very rarely (if ever) do that. I try to keep just my main caught up to (filthy casual) content, while my alts just go with the flow, getting whatever scraps they can. I can’t remember the last time I tried to seriously keep up with more than a single character.
If I were to do that, though, I’d just have to double up on my main goals. I’d use my spreadsheet to keep me abreast of things, making sure I’m always completing Delves, Great Vault, weekly, etc., on both characters.
(Just writing about that made me a little exhausted. BRB drinking some coffee.)
Q4tQ How is your playthrough of Operation Aigis going?

Life has been incredibly hectic for me lately, for a plethora of reasons. I haven’t played any games on the Steam Deck for a couple weeks now! I dropped my playthrough of Clair Obscur, and I was really close to 100%! (I’ve already finished the game, just needed four more achievements.)
Operation Aigis is my next goal. The problem is that it’s simply not super engaging DLC content: it’s like 85% grinding, 15% story. So I was having some trouble staying focused. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t disliking the experience: it still felt enjoyable — but grindy. (And I don’t do super well with grinds, no matter what game it is.)
So I was playing the DLC in short bursts. Grind for 20-30 minutes or so, put it down until the next day. I’ll resume doing that, eventually! I do want to see the story; I’m super invested in those characters after all. (<3 Fuuka)
Did you hear about the possible leak of paladins in Diablo IV ?

I jest, but this is certainly cool news. Paladin/Crusader is usually a fun class to play in Diablo games, and massively popular. I see nothing bad about this.
Q4tQ do you think the Fel version of Ban Lu will tell us the story of the Hozen and the Buttercream Pie?

Q4tQ: Have you ever spoiled yourself on a game because you assumed you would never have the opportunity to play it? Like watching a streamer play through a game on a system you didn’t own.
Yes, a few times, actually! Either because I assumed I wouldn’t be able to play, or because it was some game that I only wanted to see the story, but not actually play.
I watched a full playthrough of Persona 1 (fast forwarding dungeon exploration and most battles). I’ve delved into the depths of wikipedia (and wikis) to learn about the story of some Guilty Gear games, and Xenogears. And there are probably more I’m not remembering at the moment!
How many of the below activities am I going to get done on tomorrow, a day off?
– See The Naked Gun;
– Get a haircut;
– Get the car washed;
– Get my shingles shot*
– Go to the comic book store and pick up the most recent Moon Knight TPB so I don’t have to buy it from Amazon
– Go to my old FLGS and get a copy of the Treasure Vault Remaster.
* – (hoarse voice) “It’s already inside you.”
You’ll get the haircut, the shot, and you’ll see the movie. The car is Future!Telwar’s problem. You won’t go to the comic store, you’ll be lazy and buy it online. As for the game store, my magic 8-ball is being weird and saying “don’t ask me!”

Ultimately, we all know Xal’s strength lies not in her arms, but her feet. And Azshara has (at least) four arms. I think the answer is obvious.
